We trusted Gannon with educating our daughter and have come to find out they really don't care…read moreabout their students. 1. The engineering dept only offers courses either in the fall or spring, twice now she has had 2 required courses scheduled at the same time, Gannon was completely unwilling to work with her and told her she would have to move one off till the next year, which means she can't take any courses that have this course as a prerequisite. This also means adding a 5th year or beyond because they are not offering courses enough and my daughter needing to take unnecessary classes to stay full time because she can't get the ones she needs. They also won't approve summer courses at other schools. 2. The Athletic dept administration is horrible! They drive out good coaches and keep ones that are a mess. They support hazing and bullying and if a student says they are going to report it they are kicked off the team.

They've got a nice sized campus spaced out around downtown Erie. There are lots of places to get food or drinks nearby making a sort of mini college town effect. Next time I'm in Erie during the school year I'll have to check out some of the college and see it's buildings and inner beauty.

If they don't like even 1 thing about you, they will make it their absolute goal to kick you out of the program, regardless of your grades. You have to be a " teachers pet " in order to be in good graces and graduate with the hateful professors. And good luck if you have a different stance or political opinion other than theirs. They will not like you even for that. They like to make " excuses " as to why you get kicked out of the program. All in all, AVOID the LPN Nursing program here at ALL COSTS! I'd definitely go elsewhere like Pennwest or Gannon University if you don't want to waste years of your life going here for nothing to show all because they didn't like you from the beginning...

That being said, it did have some issues (as I am sure all universities/ colleges do). Being from South Central PA (think Harrisburg area) there was definitely some adjustment to be sure. I did struggle though and graduated. I played (practiced mainly) Football for a season before bowing out gracefully at the end of my Freshman year ( collegiate football was not in the cards for me). My primary focus was to graduate and possibly work in the teaching or work in some aspect of education/ youth support. Fast forward roughly 30 years later and I have been working to support youth as a Program Specialist for a County Dependent Shelter and Youth Detention Center for almost 17 years. I then moved into academic youth sport for the last 4 to 5 years. So Sadie it to say, I believe I am making some use of my college education to help others. All in all pretty good outcome overall!
