When we stumbled upon Ganesha, we HAD to try it! The menu itself is huge - like, literally every dish you can think of, they have. The butter, garlic, and namaste naan were hot, fluffy, and pillowy soft. It also came with 3 different dipping sauces, divine. The butter chicken was creamy, tender, and extremely flavorful! Also had the chicken mango curry and lamb vindaloo - both were absolutely delicious. Family style rice which was fluffy and full of flavor. Lots of free street parking right outside of the restaurant. Menus are available in both German and English. If you're looking for authentic Indian food, you've found it.

In the end I couldn't feed my kid the food cause it would be a disaster so I asked them to box it up. Instead of using a box for the rice, one for the chicken and maybe a 3rd for the dessert and salad (or I would have been happy with them leaving these items out) they put EVERYTHING into one box.. including the mango coconut pudding. Needless to say they ruined my meal. Experience #2: tried it again today with a group of friends and I brought my kid her food this time since they couldn't accommodate her last time. The restaurant was empty and they took forever bringing the high chair and when I went to check on it they said "go sit down we will bring it to you" um hello I can't sit with my kid so I'm standing there waiting for them to bring it when they feel like it. At the end when I'm paying the waiter gets upset at me for having brought a water bottle for my baby.... i understand if I had brought an outside drink for myself but this was for my child. I bought food and drink for myself but they didn't care, but we're upset I brought in a bottle of water for my baby. This place is ridiculous and it's obvious they are cheap and trying to pinch pennies where they can. The food is fine. Not my fav, I've definitely had much better Indian. If you really can't go without then it's pasable. If you want a more kid friendly place go to gourmet garden or hotel bohm! I am NEVER going back!

One of the best Indian restaurants of Nürnberg has now finally come to Erlangen as well, as they opened a new restaurant where once the Alberts used to be. The location is simply brilliant, right next to a huge parking lot and near the Martin-Luther-Platz, with indoors and outdoors seating and really nice decoration. The food is just as amazing as before, so far I tried the Chicken Jalfrezi and Beef Curry, which were both absolutely delicious. The food is served with Basmati Rice and if you oder some Naan bread on the side and a Mango Lassi to quench your thirst, you'll have entered my own personal kind of heaven! The staff is much nicer than in the other restaurant, very attentive but they don't hover around, and extremely friendly! Don't be surprised, they will put the first two spoons of rice on your plate for you! Should you not be able to finish your lunch/dinner, they will also be quite happy to give you a "doggy bag" so you can take the rest of the food home with you (makes for a great breakfast!) =) They also offer their lunch deal here, from 11:30 to 14:30, which includes a salad or soup as starter and one of the main dishes. It is rather cheap and definitely enough for one person. But you can always go for the normal dishes instead, which range between 10-12 €. The choice is huge and it took me ages to decide - so many mouth-watering dishes to choose from!
