During Covid my son did online learning. Before that year he was extremely behind in writing and…read moreslightly behind in math. After doing many hours at Sylvan through out the online year he had completed writing all the way through ninth grade, 2 years above his grade level and was working on 8th and 9 th grade math. When he went back into school this year as a seventh grader he's taking eighth grade math and honors reading. I attribute all of this to Sylvan. I have a daughter that's 11 years younger. She was behind in reading in first grade. We signed her up for Sylvan. She did it 3 to 5 times a week even in the summer. She caught up and Advanced in no time. What the school couldn't do Sylvan was able to. That Child advanced so much that she was able to start college at Kent State in ninth grade as a 14 year old. (College Credit Plus AKA free college) By the time she was 17 she had her masters from Kent state and taught organic chemistry for Kent state as a paid employee. I give Sylvan ALL the credit. Is Sylvan cheap no not by any means. However, in the long run it fully paid off with free college from the government which anyone can qualify if they're smart enough or they hire Sylvan to help accomplish this goal.

MEEC is truly amazing…read more When we realized our son had a speech delay, he was 2 1/2 years old and hadn't began to talk. We didn't know what to do or how to help him. Then a friend recommended MEEC, and we cannot thank the preschool teachers, Speech Therapists or adminstration enough. Every staff member is caring, professional and incredibly patient with the students and parents. Now our son is in third grade and he is thriving in school and social situations. He is now on track to not need Speech Therapy very soon. We also sent our daughter to MEEC for preschool and she didn't have any speech or socializing issues and we are so happy and lucky MEEC provided an excellent preschool experience. My family cannot recommend MEEC enough.

When our home district shut down and placed my two special needs preschoolers on a remote learning screen I knew they needed more. MEEC welcomed them in with open arms and they have blossomed in just these last two months. I only wish I had found them sooner. The early intervention in this critical time period for preschoolers is second to none. The dedication and love of this staff in a period of turbulence in our world with the COVID situation is truly remarkable. I cannot think of a better place for parents to send their children. I cannot possibly put into words what they have done for our children and our family. I can't wait to see what the next months bring. Julie P.

Fortunately, John gave me a great foundation and after a few weeks of solo-study I was able to pass. John did a great job of making us in the class think bigger picture. The test itself is all very practical, real world scenarios. The material in the class is very fundamental, but John consistently challenged us to think about how those fundamentals would apply to real life. There was a lot in the course material that was new to me, but by the end of the class it all made perfect sense.
