Was forced to go here after high school and hated it. But that was because college was not for me. Lc is a great school for people to get a degree and not pay thousands of dollars. I got hired with an airline as a flight attendant during the semester and left!!! Best feeling ever!!! Been with the airline for 12 years and live in Miami Florida. Best decision I ever made. Lorain County Community College is scamming veterans. I attended this university from 2020-2023 on the Post 9/11 GI Bill. However, my benefits expired before I finished so I had to pay the difference on my student account. On Jan. 24, 2024, I paid off the balance in full which was $2,440.72, but I never received my diploma for over a year. When I went in to inquire about it on April 8, 2025, they said I still owed $400.45. I paid that amount in full but again did not receive my diploma. The Department of Veterans Affairs provided me with documentation confirming that Lorain County Community College owed me $211.67. They sent me a check for $188.78. Then apparently to celebrate 4th of July weekend, Lorain County Community College sent me a bill for $118.78 when I have not attended a class there in over 18 months and have settled this account twice now to the tune of $2,841.17. If this does not constitute a scam, it is gross and shameful negligence. For all I know, they will continue to hold my diploma hostage and they will continue to bill me for classes I took and paid for years ago. Shame on you, Lorain County Community College. read more

We did a culinary arts class open to the public and it was phenomenal. My kids had a great time making brownies, cake pops and decorating cupcakes. They got samples of everything and so did the parents. read more

I went to school here for 2 years to earn my associates and it was definitely worth the price. The price of education there was very affordable. Some of the instructors could use some improvement, but for the price they were good. Got to compete with their cross country team, which was great. If you ever get the chance, take a class with Coach Powers! read more

Just took an ISS class here. Their hard drives were antiquated cacheless drives and essentially made the class intolerable test of patience, let alone pointless as a teaching platform. Spent 7 labs waiting for windows updates to install solely because of drive speed being insufficient. Inexcusable. Computers boot normally with their lab drives, but the classroom drives that we switch to would need an additional 4+ minutes boot time. I would avoid this school, particularly if you're looking at tech. They've made a pretty campus with a bunch of police standing around doing nothing, but have junk hardware. If they can't figure out where to spend my money, I can. read more

Don't send your child to the Children's Learning Center. My son was 3, he had an accident and these lovely people treated him and I horribly and like he was a freak for having an accident. Also decided to send home the "accident" with his dirty clothes in a bag! Why the hell do i need the "accident" in the bag!? Rude. I should have went to someone about this but I was so embarrassed and upset at the situation I left and didn't come back. I couldn't even finish my classes bc of this. read more

When it comes to community colleges LCCC is the best there is. Beautiful campus, beautiful state of the art library ( that also includes a branch of the Elyria Public Library) and some wonderful programs. It also has a early college program which gives first-generation students a chance to take both their college and high school classes right on the main campus. The university partnership programs are amazing. They give you the opportunity to earn a bachelor or master degree without leaving Lorain County. Thank you LCCC for helping me achieve my dreams. A pretty great community college. I've been going here for a while and have had no bad experiences here. The staff is pretty good (for the most part, some teachers shouldn't be there but you'll get that pretty much anywhere with a community college). The school is always expanding and giving more and more opportunities for students in all kinds of different fields. read more

I used to take credit classes here. This is another one of those ways to get involved if you are looking to break the ice more if you happen to have lots of friends that have already gone to college and graduated from college. As you begin to take classes there you can already see that others are with backpacks carrying books or at the library studying. (Even at a community college, you see others that come to get their two year degree or go for a one year program.) read more

got high scores on the entrance exams was put into the special needs class where i had the highest grade and was repeatedly asked to teach the class while my professor had daily mental break downs & feminist rants about how all men are terrible & should be on leashes & when i got the bill for the semester lccc wanted me to pay 35,000 dollars for a hour class full of nonsense immaturity & no homework or lessons i walked out and refused to pay & im never going back to lccc.
