Rarely am I impressed with a place, but I had to give it to them. GameTime has a very good interior design, but what impressed me most was how clean the machines were kept. I work at a local arcade store that is bigger and brings in more revenue, and GameTime beat them by a long shot. Definitely recommend and will comeback! Bartenders are always awesome. Which is the most important element when you let you kids go ape shit playing all the games. Good is very solid for an entertainment complex. I am impressed... Maybe I'm easily impressed but Game Time was a blast! Started out meeting a friend at The Shops of Sunset.... talk turned to lunch.. We wanted sushi ( across Sunset there are several options).. but got outvoted by a 10 year old. That's how we ended up in Game Time. Sweet and delightful server, Mia, appeared and took our order and explained how by adding X amount to the food order, one can get a card with 30 or 40 credits which are good for whenever you want to use them and another (blue) card which is good for one hour play on video games but must be used all at once as the hour starts when the card is first swiped through the card reader. My friends opted for this food/play combo and I just ordered a hamburger med-rare. ..which came with a side.. A Caesar salad for me. Salad was veerrry bland and I asked for more dressing... burger leaned toward well. Friends food was fine. My burger went back and out came a niiice rare one.. Mia was very good humored and friendly. A bit odd how lunch for three people came out all at separate times.. Oh well,. It's not fine dining.. Finished and entered the vast realm of arcade games the likes of which "I" had never seen before. Watched him and developed temporary vertigo in a cylindrical ride that shoots you in a little seat up to the ceiling and down slowly, reminiscent of the Parachute Drop in Coney Island. Oh yes, I'm a ride affecianado from waaay back! Played a frantic game of air hockey and LOST... Badly!!! Showed HIM how to score at Skii-Ball which goes for a mere two credits probably 'cause it's not fast and furious, bumpety, bone-jolting, gut wrenching and LOUD!... I was GOOD! Game time isn't only great for kids, but it's also great for kids at heart. I went there last night with my boyfriend and a couple friends and we had an absolute blast. They have a large variety of games to play. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Prices are also not to bad for the concept. The store where you pick up your price also has an extreme variety of good stuff :) Now, For the adults not to worry they have a full bar and as of my experience Kevin was great. Plus they have unique ones such as a Transformers 2-person shooter and a vertical lift ride called Sky Pirates. You're strapped into a chair that can lift up and down while your try to shoot down your opponent's air balloon. Everything works similarly to D&B, where you use a card loaded with credits to play games and store tickets. No more hoarding paper tickets in a dirty, sticky cup. The prizes are geared towards kids and are very carnival like. There are glass cases filled with candy and cheap China made knick knacks along with wall of stuffed animals. I come here quite often with my family, so this review is long overdue. To begin, the service here is pretty bad. Groups of slacker employees standing around in dark corners, talking and offering no assistance. During the week the front desk is often closed, and a sign directs you to the bar to buy a card, while the employees stand around in the dark corners talking and watching. Strange... Are they getting paid for that? In particular they have a really cool ride called Sky Balloons (or something to that effect) but it is NEVER open! We come specifically for that ride, but have stopped coming as often since they never have it open. Seems strange with all the employees standing around in corners that not one of them is capable of running the ride. It is apparent that this is poor management at it's best. Slackers welcome, I guess. I have even come on a Sunday afternoon, which I would consider peak time, and the ride was still not open. Very disappointing... On the upside, the location was recently renovated and has a fresh, clean look. Rides are new and in good condition, with a good variety. I have never eaten here, so I can't speak to the food. The games are more affordable than Dave & Busters and it is also not nearly as crowded, so I consider that another pro. I was kinda pumped to be at GameTime for their Thursday deal which is $10 all-you-can-play until we found that many of the machines were malfunctioning. The light gun on the Jurassic Park ride wouldn't aim above a certain part. The DDR machine was missing nearly all the steps we made. INDY 500 (one of my favorite arcades that used to be at Gameworks in Tampa) was malfunctioning. The co-op modes didn't work on most of the racing games (how did this work in the 90s but doesn't now?). You can't really have an arcade if its broken inside. I hope they hire some technicians and work on that. It had lots of promise. read more

This arcade place is located within Sunset Place Mall on the same level as the movie theater. The place is large with two floors of updated games typically costing 4+ points for the kid games and adult games are 6+ points. We only encountered one game out of the ~30 games we played that malfunctioned. Which is not bad compared to other arcade places we have done. The games seemed to be tailored for kids 4 yrs and up to adults. This place is a huge upgrade to Chuck E. Cheese and much bigger than Dave & Busters. Food and beverage are reasonably priced. The staff in the prize counter are very patient. They offer a great special for $16.99 you get a menu item and a $15 all access pass which is a great deal! I stopped here for some much needed adult fun. There is a variety of games and all of them seemed to be working properly which was a bonus. I have been to other gaming establishments were some of the best games wouldn't be working. Anyway, I thought the ballon game was the best but has to be operated by an employee and can cause long lines. The problem with this place was getting your card read so you can redeem your tickets. The prizes are crappy and really not worth it unless you are lucky enough to win at Spin It to Win It a few times. To get your card read to determine what prizes you can get was a huge pain. There was no line and you just waited at the counter until an employee swiped your card. Of course people will take their time to determine what prizes they want. After trying both Gameworks and Game Time in the same month, I feel like the games at Game Time are more diverse. The drinks are pretty decently priced and the food wasn't terrible. I know a lot of people have commented on the food but I have yet to go to a game place or luxe bowling alley that has amazing food. It's all about the games here. The one annoyance we encountered was when the air hockey table we tried to play was broken and we had to wait in line to get our money back and have them repair it so we could play. This is based on the restaurant aspect of this place only. We came here to watch the UM game, lots of Tv's, lots of space, nice atmosphere. Yet, somehow, I had one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. The service was dreadful.... The server literally kept forgetting orders, would disappear for periods of time, when he did remember the order, he'd leave the drinks sitting at the bar. The table was congested with dirty plates and cups that just kept stacking up because he didn't have the common courtesy to clear the table. I can't criticize the food, it was alright but I didn't expect much from the kitchen and they still managed to be 100 times better then our server, though cause the food took forever to come out, the food came out cold and we couldn't say anything since the server disappeared. When it came to grabbing the bill, it took like 30 minutes to get a hold of the server and when we finally did. He brought the machine and literally left it at the table, and just so our group wouldn't have to wait anymore, I started to charge everyone with the machine he left at the table so we could just leave as fast as we could. This server is extremely lucky that I lost the check cause I switched phones and lost the receipt. Otherwise, I would've reached out to a manager about this to make sure it didn't happen again. My little niece BEGGED me to throw her 10th bday party there. I read the reviews, and I was VERY skeptical. Booking was a little difficult, but the manager handled that situation for us very well. We requested the sky bar on the second floor, and when I got there the day of the party everything was set up! I brought my own cupcakes and the kids ate their pizza. The cake that was provided by the venue was from Gilbert's bakery - SCORE! It was delicious! In fact, guests left my cupcakes behind and went for the cake. Prices were reasonable. I threw a party for 15 kids under $300.00 including game time cards so they could play the games. Pizza was whatever, but they offer other platter options if you're looking for something other than pizza. The venue itself ended up being better than I expected. Absolutely no customer service. Terrible. My girlfriend and I stopped in to GameTime after watching a movie at the AMC to watch the UFC 223 fights. It was our first time going here and the first thing that was told to us by the host was "we are backed up and not serving food". Not a "Hi welcome to GameTime!" or any regular greeting you normally get when you meet a host/hostess. We didn't want to order food as we only wanted to grab a few drinks. Strike one. No one escorted us to a table and we weren't served or greeted by any of the other staff members for over 15 minutes - and that's with making eye contact with different employees - so we moved tables and ask for someone to serve us. The answer we got was "just go to the bar". We did not want to go to the bar otherwise we would have from the beginning. Strike two. The server rarely checked on us and had an attitude as if we were bother him. Strike three. I traditionally spend a lot on fight nights but the service we received made me lose any incentive to spend any money. I give this place 2 stars due to their drink prices but I will NEVER go to a GameTime - or any GameTime - ever again. This place was such a fun time!! Went with my girl on a busy Saturday night. The are located inside the mall on the third floor, parking in the mall will cost about $3 for 0-3 hours and $7 after 3 hours or so, make sure to take the ticket with you since you can only pay before you get to your car ( fun Tip you can actually pay 15 minutes before leaving the parking lot and they will you that time as courtesy). They have two floors of pure fun, severa air hockey machines ( pleas try the smash pac man one) and the walking dead among another game machines, pool tables are located on the second floor and they have two bars located respectively on each floor and the restaurant on the first level. We did not the restaurant, however we did get drinks and the bartender made our night he was a lovely addition to this place his name is Dan and he truly made our night memorable, as far as all their other staff they have a great team, the girl at the front desk that sells the play cards was so patient and explained everything thoroughly and helped us make a decision wether we wanted to get an unlimited timed card of actual credits. This place gets a thousand thumbs up from me and we are looking forward to coming here again. read more
