I had a bad experience in another store, and made GameStop aware through their customer survey line. Not long after, I was reached out to by Lydia, one of the heads of customer service to follow up on my feedback. She was incredibly helpful and really made me feel like GameStop took my feedback seriously. She hooked me up with the Massapequa store and Bill, who completely turned my whole experience around! They do buy items but I myself haven't sold anything to them. They have a generous two week policy to check the discs to make sure they work. I go between here and the city location often to see what's in stock. The employees are kind, welcoming, and knowledgable. I've often called to ask about stock questions and they're always quick to help. I do occasionally check the children's section because my dream is to have the old Sweet Valley books of my youth, but the YA section is I'd say from 2010 on. There's a large lot with plenty of parking.

I had a ton of books that I was trying to sell and while most places didn't want them, Book Off…read morebought some. If I had 200 books they bought just under 100. No- they didn't pay a lot, about 40-50 cents. Of course I wish I got more, but I was trying to sell many quickly and they helped. Every time I go in, they're helpful and courteous. They were VERY fast with getting me a quote. It was usually an hour to scan a few hundred books and give me a quote.
