When I visit this store, it's like I'm in middle school again, and it's a Friday night, and I get to pick out a movie or two to stay up late and watch. It's TOTALLY a nostalgia thing. Most of the stock is in VHS (which is amazing in and of itself, especially in this day and age) but there are some DVDs too. This is my most favourite place in Rochester to rent those old, hard-to-find titles (some of which never even came out on DVD!) And the display setup they've got going there makes any film/media geek drool. It's not every day you get to see a LaserDisc player up close and personal. The owner is a great, personable guy and really interesting to talk to. The place wouldn't be what it is without him. If you want to relive the past and step into a time warp, check Hyatt's out, and rent a video or two while you're there. Someday places like this will all be gone...and yeah, I love netflix as much as the next person, but there is just something about the video rental store experience that you can't duplicate in watching a streaming video. We go here once every couple of months, at least, and whenever we can't find one of those old obscure movies we remember watching when we were young but can't find anywhere. When you can't even find it ONLINE...Hyatt's usually has it.

For one, the general manager fired a special needs employee who gave years of their life to the company just because they had a personal disagreement. Not because he wasn't good at his job, he seemed to be the most knowledgeable helpful worker there. Not only that but the managers live with her? How is that not inappropriate? Promoting people when they'll live with you seems like a huge major conflict of interest that will fold out poorly. Karma will come for this company, will probably go bankrupt if they continue to run their stores this way. Not only that but Julie the store manager is incredibly fake and not slick about it. I've seen her help other customers and proceed to talk smack about them when they're not so close to her. Other people have ears and eyes, hopefully people can start looking closer at this and how awfully lazy the world has come to, people should earn their jobs and be good at them. We walked to the patch and it was picked over pretty good. We saw bunch of guys in the field prior to opening to the public and perhaps picked them over pretty good. We stopped by the stand and they had massive strawberries!! We managed to fill our containers (none close to that quality) after awhile but seemed like every 3-4 plants one had a good medium size strawberry, most were tiny with a few rotten bigger ones and eaten/fungus mixed in. Got home and tried a few 'good' ones and they were very watery , not very flavorful. Prices were more than expected (internet research) and for the not so good quality of berries. First time strawberry picking, it looked like decent little farm just wish the berries were better and more plentiful. The ladies were nice. Might try another berry patch next time closer to home.

If you wanted to actually stop for games on the road, you would most likely be dead. However, you…read morejust may never actually find this GameStop. Why is that? This store has the honor of being located in the far back roads of Brockport behind the large Wal-Mart supercenter and next to the Goodwill building. You will have to take one of the back roads to actually find this branch but when you do discover it, it's more then worth taking the visit to look inside. It's quite larger then some of the other GameStop's in the area even though it is located in a strip building. The interior is laid out a bit different with the PlayStation area being located in the back of the store with the Xbox are being in the front of the store. There is a larger selection of PlayStation titles to choose from with a rather extensive PlayStation 3 library of used games but do be careful if you buy used. When buying used, if you're a big fan of having the best case complete with instructions, you need to search for recently traded in games as there stickers will be the most easiest to remove but do be careful here. As I may have mentioned before, when you take a game up, if they have another case in the drawer they will use that one even though that case may be in worse condition. missing directions, or be a generic case. Always check the discs before you make the final purchase because they may put a "greatest hits" disc with a black label case or the disc may scratched to a point where it is unplayable. While this is rare for a Blu-ray disc, It can happen if the disc is not well taken care of, use with caution but never buy the extended warranty, it isn't worth it. I'll also mention their well stocked 3DS collection which has some games that I am unable to find in other locations. They do come with their cases but they still will have stickers to remove so bring some goo gone with you to finish the job. Putting aside the games, the staff here are kind enough not to push you into getting a warranty or trying to get you to pre-order a game even though that's what they should be doing. It can get annoying when they try to do it but I'm very satisfied that they don't because it turns away customers and causes more of an annoyance then it being anything but beneficial. If you're a GameStop fan, then you will be more then satisfied with this large location. It's a great addition to the Rochester suburbs and is well worth visiting if you live around the Brockport area, just make sure you don't accidentally pass it on your way there.
