Got here at 1115 am, the store wasn't open, some women w pink hair walks up, looks at me in my vehicle and rolls her eyes at me, goes inside and slides the metal gate back down. She finally opens the store at NOON after about 6 or 7 people walked up thinking they were going to inside and buy something. I walk in with my two NBA 2k games for Xbox one, she quickly told me she wouldn't take them and that Gamestop doesn't buy back NBA 2k of ANY year, even if it was 2022. They shipped me a used Switch Lite for my daughter's Christmas present then gave me a hard time when it came to return the item. I paid $199 plus taxes for a new one. Now my daughter has to watch her siblings play when she can't. The 1-800 number takes an hour or more to pick up and the GameStop here in Temple is closed during business hours for no reason and they do not answer the phone. It's ridiculous. Went there today walked in no one said 1 word to me no hello, hi, how are you, need any help today nothing. While looking no assistance was offered. The games are very over priced. When finally to the register communication was pretty much non existance, oh but i was asked fo my ID for my debit card. WILL NOT BE BACK! I always come here to pick up my games, I've never had a bad experience here, walk in get greeted for a game store can't ask for much more than that, and anytime I've had a question they were quick to help me out with any knowledge they had, it's also great to be able to openly discuss things about games with them, they don't even try to change the subject back to buying something which is a win to me read more

Hey diddly doo dads. Came here to get a 30$ steam gift card, wasn't too sure if tax is a thing on gift cards, asked the dude at the counter (His name is Trent. real nice feller) if it /was/ a thing, it's not. Already had a 20$ boy up there and asked if he had a 10$ in stock or something and he said "Yes we do but we also have these ones that you can load up to 200$ onto, and if you want we can just put all 30$ on it" ( or some variation of that that was super friendly) and you know i was like hell yeah boy!!!!!!!!!!!! Finished the transaction, the giftcard i was buying a giftcard with was all bought n shit and the receipt was thermal paper so if you press real hard and fast on them, it makes a mark. Didn't know this and homeboy trent did this and i thought he was god or something having pens in his fingers. came in 40 minutes after they closed for the release of monster hunter world and they still gave it to me after i showed them i had fully paid my pre-order off. the guy even called the next day to make sure i got my pre-order bonus. this place is good for brand new games. game stop is bad for selling games though, kinda became a meme and youre dumb if you actually go there to sell games. read more
