Guys I have gone to graywhale since I was like 13 years old because the Sandy location was the…read moreclosest record store, but let me just say this place is really not all that. Okay? Their new stuff isn't bad, but the prices are INSANELY high. The common price for a newly sealed vinyl is about 30 dollars. What! Piss the bed! On another note I'm going to share a very sad story. Today I had some records I was going to bring in to sell, but I knew I was coming a kinda close to closing time so I called beforehand and asked if they'd have time to go through them tonight and they said yes. I told them I had a 20 minute drive and I'd be there soon and they said that would be okay. Sublime. So I drove there with all my stuff in my car and brought it inside and they're all like "we can't take these today, bring them in next week." Hello? I just drove 20 minutes to get here because you told me it was fine! I asked if I could leave the stuff there and they said there was "nothing they could do." Shameful. Graywhale's customer service has never been great but I expected they'd try to do something to make it right. These people do not care about their customers! Go to Randy's Records instead. They have a better selection and better prices!

This makes it significantly cheaper when you are creating cubes. The staff is helpful. The prices are a little higher than they should be. They definitely do participate in price gouging their customers. Unfortunately that is pretty normal for the industry. They have a great selection of board games too.

In fact, I parked right in front of it, and assumed it was a some sort of tax or law firm (no idea why I assumed that) and didn't realize it was a game store until I glimpsed dragonshield sleeves through the window. Fortuitously, I actually needed some sleeves, so I went in to check it out. It's definetly a small store, thus their selection is quite small, but there did have a little bit of everything. And interestingly enough, they have a bunch of hot wheels and die cast cars. Which is unusual for a game store like this, but pretty cool! I had my two toddlers with me, so it was fun to let them pick a .75 hot wheel to buy. They also have a handful of tables to play on and at the time I was there, they were all full. The guy that rang me up was friendly and said that they have been here for two years now and wishes they did more marketing as he said many people say the same thing as me, which is "I had no idea there was a game store here". I definetly suggest checking it out if you are in the area

The first time I came in they were dealing with a rude, inconsolable customer who was trying to return a gift card with no balance on it. I felt it's worth mentioning because these two maintained their professionalism when they could have easily asked this customer to leave the store. My second visit I came to buy a game, return an item and sell old games. As we all know, GameStop doesn't pay much for games. They offered me $3.50 for the two old games I brought in, I chose to keep them! Always an option for you who are offended that they don't pay enough for your old games that you don't even want anymore! (Or sell them online!) these two also went above and beyond to help me utilize a BOGO offer that I'd missed last time I came in, they didn't have to do that! In the end I've had great, quick experiences with the staff at this store and plan to stop in more often though I don't purchase many games anymore!
