Well this time I was here to actually buy a BOOK! Thuy and I walked the Square a few nights ago, looking in windows. When we passed Arts & Letters Bookstore, we spotted a book we wanted to buy for our newest nephew. The book? "The Little Puppy (part of My Little Animal Friend)" by Nicola Killen. The clerk who helped us, Brandy, was very friendly and helpful. I asked about local authors, and learned there is a section just for them. In the same area, is books specific to Granbury. Very cool little find. I also bought some Granbury themed stickers for random gifts for random friends. I also joined the free shoppers club (if it has a real name, it slipped my mind), where after spending $100, you get $10 of your next purchase. I now know what people are getting for gifts next year... Books on Granbury, written by Granburians!

When I finally caught up with him... he was pretty salty...no customer service to speak of. He actually seemed irritated that I wanted to buy his product. So for some fool reason I came back again a few weeks later and put in an order for 20 custom printed T-shirts to be printed up for my film crew. The reason was he quoted me $5 a shirt...pretty sweet deal it seemed. This was something that I couldn't really afford even at the low price, but I wanted to do it for my cast and crew. He said ok, I'll do it. I asked "do you need a down payment?" "No" he says. Ok... "how do I get my logo to you"..."just email it to me" he smaps. Hmm ok... so I'm not feeling very confident about this transaction, but I did my part and gave him almost 4 weeks to print 20 shirts. The week comes that I need them and I hadn't heard zip from him about the status of my order. I called him, texted him (per his request) and called a few more times...nada! So, the day I need the shirts comes, and NO shirts... of course I get there before 5 pm as per his hours and the place is locked up tight! NO SHIRTS, NO EXPLANATION!! ZILCH! In summary do not waste your time on this burnt out hippie bozo...he is a shitty business man.

It has a good central design, with a nice grass buffer between the centerpiece courthouse and the parking area (there is more parking, and public restrooms, behind the Opera House). A statue of General Granbury proudly stands in one corner. There are numerous shops and restaurants to explore, as well other interests a short walk away (bed and breakfasts, an art gallery, a library and the old jail). The public beach is also walkable from the square, making for a nice walk to see the water or perhaps to look at some of the bed and breakfasts (there are B&B options on the square, and also walking distance from the square). The plaza is home to many event throughout the year. During these times the parking lot is used for vendors and entertainment, and makes for a lovely way to spend the day. You just don't see places like this too often…read more While walking around Granbury Square I kept recalling the iconic scenes from the Back to the Future movies of the clock tower and its surroundings. That's what you get here--old-style architecture and a small-town vibe that, if just for a moment, makes you feel like you've been transported back in time. The square is full of shops and restaurants and even a B&B. And there is a beautiful courthouse at its center. If you're in the area, be sure to check out this unique a charming little spot where the buildings all look as if they've been kept just how they were originally constructed in the late 1800s.

This is a really cool place, when I first saw it, I thought that they would only have Texas college…read morestuff in there, but no, they have quite a few other colleges, and a ton of pro stuff in there. To my surprise I saw, whom I assume was the owner in an OU shirt! Well, I had to take a picture, and you will see in online. We talked for a few minutes and I told him that I graduated from OU and showed him my tattoo. It was cool that we both had the OU fight song as our ring tone for a family member. There is also a variety of unusual jewelry made just for their shop. There are all kinds of bird cages, antique signs, home décor and more-including a pickup door from the early 1900's. Not only is the collection unique but as my husband said, the gentlemen has an eye for grouping collections in the most beautiful way.
