One of the "I didn't know that store was here" stores I saw was Gamestop, so obviously I had to go in. Fairly clean store, packed full of games and about 8 customers to only 1 employee. Maybe that's why he didn't say "welcome to gamestop" or ask if I needed help. I didn't. Nothing really to report considering this portion of the lot is not hurting for parking spaces and with the walmart next door, I question whether or not this place will be here next year. Once, I couldn't find a pre-owned game the online site said they had in the shelves. However, when I asked them, they pulled open a drawer behind the counter and pulled out the one I wanted. I've visited this Barnes & Noble location several times, and every previous visit has been…read morepleasant. Unfortunately, this experience was very different. The cashier, a gentleman with sandy red hair, gave the customer ahead of me excellent service. He was friendly, talkative, asked if the customer had a Rewards membership, took the time to explain the program, handed him his bag, and waited until he walked away before calling me to the register. When it was my turn, there was no greeting or conversation. I placed my book on the counter, and he simply rang it up and said my total. Only as I was paying did he quickly ask if I had a Rewards card, almost as an afterthought. Before he had even put my receipt in the bag, he was already calling the next customer over. I had a question, but he rushed through his response so quickly that it felt like he couldn't wait to move on. The difference in how I was treated compared to the customer before me was very noticeable. I left feeling like I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. I've always enjoyed shopping at this location, which is why this interaction was so disappointing. I hope management reminds staff that every customer deserves the same level of courtesy and attention.
