Glad to see Barnes & Noble hanging in there…read more Most locations have the same layout and mostly the same selections, so this one was no different. Store is clean, spacious, and well stocked. If you frequent this business, you already know what's in here from the children's area to the 'cafe' area and all in between. There is a nice Harry Potter area for fans to enjoy and the children's area is stocked well. I didn't have any employee interactions, which was fine as I didn't need assistance as I was just browsing. Prices are what they are. Located in the Cortlandt Town Center, they have their own parking area (though you can walk from any area in the Center), so you don't need to deal with the madness or some of the bad drivers in the main lot. Say what you will about Barnes & Noble - and I've said it myself - the business is not perfect and has its flaws, but it's still nice to have a place where you can hold a book and browse books the way you want to in the world of digital phasing out some physical forms of media (which I'm not a fan of - whether books or movies). Nice location and I'd come back if in the area again.

The Shoppes act like a big workspace filled with lots of rooms all selling different stuff. They range from vintage small wooden furniture or wooden signs, another room has Vinyl Records, another room had Comic Books, etc. I like bird houses to place in my backyard and Shoppes has a few on their sidewalk display and a small cute one- caught my eye. I used Yelp's 10% Off Check-in offer and we called it a day. Price was decent on the bird house. I really didn't take a look at prices on anything else. But Shoppes has a cool thing going with the different room collections.

My discussed is aimed elsewhere. I would like retailers both online and brick and mortar to make a note of how much we are paying for tariffs. I think this would help prevent backlash against local shops. But I digress She found what she was looking for, and we started the self checkout process.
