There is also a conference room, community library, a theatre screening room, pub, and a stage. I loved the cute vending machine machines, figures, anime, and all of the Japanese snacks, and drinks. He then gave me a refund from his wallet, saying "this is coming from my pocket" I then said so, make sure I open the book before purchasing next time? He said there won't be a next time. He acted as though I did something wrong. I asked him, what exactly was I supposed to do? I wouldn't have bought a book that expensive $79 with a detached cover. He then crumbled the book up in his hands in anger and walked off. Refused to give his name. Worst experience at a comic book store ever. Been going to this store since the 80s. The merch was easily visible in multiple sections of genre. Im gonna bring in some of my vintage Marvel action figure collectibles for an appraisal and hopeful sale. The comics from the 1980s were competively priced for their condition and rarity. Center store there was a display case of retro pinback buttons provided a quick flashback of the past. One older gentleman, who seemed like he may have been the owner or manager, came across as grumpy and completely uninterested. The two men working there barely made eye contact, acted completely uninterested, and honestly gave off the vibe that they did not want to help me or even acknowledge my existence. It felt awkward and unwelcoming the entire time I was there. I walked the entire store from front to back trying to find something beginner friendly for a child getting into Dungeons & Dragons. From what I could tell, the store seemed overwhelmingly focused on Warhammer and miniatures. Maybe they had what I needed, but I honestly could not tell because nobody bothered to engage with the only customer in the store. The frustrating part is that I made a pretty long drive specifically to come here because it was recommended online. They're loaded with DC, Marvel, TMNT, horror, manga & also carry some niche ones. I also appreciate how they stay up to date on weekly & monthly releases with a section dedicated to them. Prices are solid & they often have a couple limited/exclusive variants. These are a bit overpriced but sometimes it's better to get them in person & support local rather than online & deal with shipping. Years ago, customer service was a bit iffy but recently it's been nothing but great. They greet you right away, have no issues answering questions & act like they appreciate your business. This is a great place to check out if you're a fan of pop culture, comics, figures or books in general. It's really hard to stop by & not leave with something in hand.
