I liked the large amount of games they had (for such a small space). They had some hardcore card games but also some light hearted-- Poetry for Neanderthals and more. Pricing seem steep, to me. But again, I'm not a huge gamer so I may not know what I am talking about. My kiddo found his Pokémon card set of choice. We snagged them. In and out. I can't say the staff was overly friendly or helpful but they were prompt. That being said, we walked past this hole in the wall later in the week and there was an adorable pupper in the window! I visited to look at their funko pop selection and was thoroughly impressed by their variety of pops and quantity of selection. They had pops ranging from sports, tv shows, marvel, disney, anime, horror, and more. Most items were commons but they had some more rare, graded, and signed items near the main counter. The pricing was a little above market value but it's always cool to see certain pops in person. They were running a "buy two, get one free" on pops under $50 which helps on pricing!

But when your pricing on a brand new Pokémon set (which doesn't have a set market yet) is already 3x MSRP, what productive conversation can happen? It's just a straight up gouge. I'm not naive to expect to get everything at MSRP, but i think 3x markup 2 days post launch is unreasonable. 2) i did ask about Lorcana. I was told you "don't carry much" and "didn't have any right now." 3) you seem to be implying that you're aware prices are high and can then be negotiated lower. If that's how you want to do it that's your prerogative, just understand that's offputting for new customers. It's hard to want to establish a relationship and have a conversation when the first impression is being taken advantage of. He's complimented the staff and remarked that they are very knowledgeable, especially with Warhammer Fantasy. They're always willing to help (but not overbearing, as has been the case with other Games Workshop locations). There are several tables with a variety of amazingly detailed scenery set up and ready to play on, and there always seem to be games going on. But even so, him and his friends have never had a problem finding an open table. They've also been a fan of the other regulars, and we tend to see a couple familiar faces each time we stop in. This location not only goes the extra mile to plan and host special tournaments, but also painting seminars to spark interest and help those who are newer to the game. The store usually has a lot of expert painters that have been more than helpful and friendly. He says he's gotten some good ideas from them.
