Ive always had great experiences here... staff is always very friendly and helpful. I saw a previous bad review and it's nonsense. Bottom line is keep your receipts people! That's with any store. We have tried other locations such as Westland and one on Michigan Avenue and we still come back to this one because of the friendly helpful staff. More a review of Gamestop in general than this actual store near me. By far one of the worst customer service experiences i have ever had online and over the phone. I received an Email about a Pro Member only sale. My daughter has been wanting a Xbox One for sometime and i figured the sale would be a good time to purchase one, especially since she is now stuck in the house during Covid19 issues. Sale was $100 off Xbox One X and 50% off new Xbox One controller with the purchase of Xbox One X. So i bought both. When i attempted to check out using my Gamestop credit card, it told me transaction was declined. I called the credit card company who assured me there is no issue with my card and plenty of funds to make the purchase. I attempted the purchase again but got the same message that said transaction declined, try another form of payment or contact customer service. I tried with multiple other forms of payment, i tried on 2 different PCs and my phone. 7 attempts in total. I sent Gamestop a message on their website. Never heard back. I called gamestop and after being on hold for an hour and 46 minutes, i had to hang up. I called again and after being on hold for 52 mins, i was told by a customer service rep that they would email me a resolution that day. Specifically he told me to make sure that i keep an eye on my email because they will make sure to send me a resolution. Never got an email. I called again today and after waiting on hold for 56 minutes, i was told they would not be able to help me and that they would not honor the pro member flash sale because they couldn't confirm if there were any issues with their system over the weekend. So then why in the hell make we wait all day checking my email and then make me have to call you back and wait on hold for 56 minutes, when you could have told me you were going to screw me in the first place. Now, I need to divide this review into two parts. Customer Service/Staff: 5/5, fantastic! Products: 3/5 I came in because the used controller on my PS3 wasn't working. They happily returned it and gave me another one that looked much newer. Still wasn't working. So I came back with the entire system. They returned it and gave me a new one. Disappointed since my games were on the system but oh well. The new controller for the new PS3 didn't work so I called them ahead of time and went in again. This time they had one charging to prove that it worked and exchanged it for me. So the staff was very friendly, they didn't get angry, they sounded sorry I had so much of an issue and returned everything very quickly. I've gotten a lot of used systems before and this is the first time I've had a problem but still, three trips? Please check your products before you sell used items. read more
