I went into this Verizon, not realizing it was only an authorized dealership and upgraded my cell…read morephone to an iPhone 11 Pro Max ( which is a $1200.00 phone.) Within the the first week, my phone froze and I was unable to get it to reset itself. When I brought it in, the representative did the same thing that I did and somehow it reset. I travel out of state often and the phone froze 4 more times. When I returned to Huntingdon, it happened a 6th time. I tried for 45 minutes to reset it and it just wouldn't reset. When I brought it in, after 5-10 minutes, the rep was able to reset it again. She fully agreed with my frustration and said she'd talk to her manager, and told me that the policy was to get Asurion to send me a refurbished one. That's when my blood began to boil. To date, Verizon in Huntingdon refuses to be responsible for selling me a defective phone for $1200 and will not take any responsibility to replace it, even when I came into the store during the 14 day warrantee. Their warrantees mean NOTHING! I called Verizon, the company, and they too, refuse to make good on a brand new defective purchase. And finally, Apple themselves, places the blame on Verizon for not honoring their guarantee. Apple is unwilling to assist as well So I'm left with a brand new defective phone. With this kind of poor customer service behavior from Verizon in Huntingdon, I'd suggest being very cautious should you look to go their for your purchases. In addition, you must know that because they are not a Verizon store, you must pay in full for everything in the store. (also not a best practice, since the big sign outside says VERIZON. Most people don't know the difference between a Verizon store and an affiliate. This is something that I find to be deceptive to begin with. So I give this store a huge thumbs down for it's very poor customer service. For me to have been told that the phone freezing behavior happens all the time when I first came in under warrantee, was so unprofessional. First it is a lie, that a brand new phone would do that all the time, and secondly, I should have been given a new phone then and their because it was only 6 days after I bought it. This Bad Practice has left me feeling very mistreated and raw. Sorry to say this but I needed to get it off my chest. Screwing the public is not a way to succeed guys.

My parents went to this store for assistance to set it up for them. The "manager" wouldn't help them. Several hours later, I went to the store to ask why they couldn't be helped and had every intention of adding that phone to my line. Here is the conversation that took place: Manager: We can't help them because the phone didn't come from a Verizon Authorized Dealer and because they don't have an account, the system won't allow the phone to activate. I gave them a phone number to call. ~the manager proceeded to give me the same phone number~ Me: I understand that, what I want to know is why you didn't call the number to help them from that point? Manager: I offered to sell them a phone and they refused. Why can't you help them...you are their daughter. Me: I don't work for Verizon. You do. Also, my step father has cancer and needs that phone activated for calls. Manager: Don't pull that cancer card on me. My husband has cancer. Me: Have you ever attended the Carnegie Customer Service Symposium? Manager: No Me: You are rude, belligerent and combative to customers. After this conversation, I will never again purchase any equipment from the store and neither will any other member of my family. Manager: You know where the door is...use it. Me: So you basically wouldn't help 2 elderly disabled people to activate a phone because it wasn't profitable to you. That is terrible business. Manager: If you don't leave I will call 911. Me: I will be discussing this incident with your manager Manager: I am the manager Me; You still answer to someone. I left the store. I will admit at this point there was shouting and it was disruptive. If this is the kind of employees that Verizon Wireless hires to represent their brand, then I will pull both of my lines to Comcast.

This was just a real quick stop in hopes of finding last minute items cheap. I do have to say that this location is in need of an update. Some reorganizing may be in store, especially since each of the locations have added that craft section. They need to make sure that there is a flow to the space. I noticed that there are some continuity issues. Staff were polite, when you did interact with them. But it seems like they were suffering from the staffing shortage that everyone has dealt with recently. This made for check out to take a bit longer than intended, but it is part of what is to be expected. The staff that were working were there working hard. Maybe after a bit of an update this will be a pleasant experience.

Don't go here....The manager Gage harassed me and texted me on my personal phone number after I…read moreleft the store. Here's what happened....Gage and another girl were working at the store in the afternoon on 7/23/21 completely humiliated me for no reason. If I could give 0 stars for how poorly I was treated in this store, I would. I walked into the store to get a return box/shipping label for a device, per Verizon's instructions. I was told by Verizon customer support that the store would simply hand me a box, and I could leave. Instead, I was humiliated over my deceased father's samsung device by a female worker and the store manager, Gage. The female at the counter who attempted to help me, tried to do an official store trade in. They must get some perk for that versus me just mailing it in myself. The female explained that there was absolutely no way I could ever trade this phone into Verizon, because I did not have the passcode for the phone. I tried explaining that the phone belonged to my father, who had just recently passed away. I didn't ask him for his pass code to his phone before he passed. He was on my cell phone plan. I had proof of purchase/power of attorney. I tried asking her what I needed to do....there must be some way I explained to her....I was completely right. There was a way. They just didn't feel like helping me that day. Instead of being understanding of my situation, the female Verizon store employee started saying very loudly, for the whole store to hear, "YOU CAN'T RETURN THIS PHONE. ITS AN ANTI-THEFT THING." That's when the GM Gage walked out and began backing up his female constituent, in the same short, rude mannerisms as she was displaying. As someone who just lost my father, I am getting upset for being treated like a criminal for simply trying to trade in his phone that was brand new. My dad was on my cell phone plan after his retirement. I am the authorized person on our account, so I was later, able to show proof of purchase to have the phone factory reset. What really upsets me is that Gage and his constituents were extremely rude and unhelpful. I was taking time out of my day to get that errand done. He could have just handed me the box and label, as requested by me, but they both repeatedly refused. After realizing the phone could not be traded in without accessing it via the passcode, I just wanted direction with regard to how to go about doing the factory reset. They refused to offer any assistance and instead, I left frustrated. That is when Gage started text messaging me immediately from his personal number to my personal number (I would think that is a no-no to pull a customer's phone number off your Verizon accounts and start messaging it). I didn't know him. He would have no way to have my phone number. Photo proof is below of the messages. I'll have you know - after this incident, I did in-fact get to factory reset the phone, mailed it in to Verizon, and received the $800 trade-in value for the phone from Verizon. I had to make many phone calls after that store visit to try to figure out what to do, since Gage and the other person wouldn't help me. One of the stranger things of this experience, and I guess, the reason for his messages, was apparently they accidentally sent me an e-gift card to my email - that he kept asking me to email back to them (photo proof attached). I never cared about a gift card, and they didn't even explain why I would be receiving that. I was just there to get a return box and shipping label for a phone. Gage also told me in those texts that I was banned from the store. So here I am - writing this review - so many months later. Just so you know Gage, I got my $800 trade in value since I had legitimacy for the factory reset. I tried reporting you to Verizon support, and someone there claimed they emailed the district manager of your store. I really hope he did email them, and I hope Verizon executives see this review and take some action against Gage for this type of behavior.
