An excellent toy clearance warehouse…read more This place is fantastic, from their great layout to their abundant stock of every kind of toy imaginable, from current to past season stock at heavily discount prices. The large warehouse is stocked to the roof along its walls with everything from baby toys to puzzles and board games to play gym slides. Many trestle tables and dump bins fill the floor. There is so much to look at and all with handy price stickers attached to the items. The store has an indoor trolley rack (you will need a trolley) and there is enough room to push a stroller around. The warehouse isn't heated, except for what looks like an airplane engine, blowing blue fire towards the cashier. Which is good for them, because it feels almost colder inside the building that out. Do not underestimate the vastness of this place, you could easily spend an hour here, so maybe rug up? All in all, this is an excellent store. I love it and I couldn't find fault if I tried. Just the best assortment of toys, so long as you aren't looking for the newest range (although sometimes they are here too, hard to guess). A godsend for busy parents, because it's all in one place and well laid out and well priced. Check it out, you will not be disappointed...(Game of Thrones Monopoly, come on, who doesn't want that!!!??)

They said that they often have other products that are faulty and that they can't open every box to test them all. This is a shell organisation without any proper management to contact. Avoid them at all costs.

Superheroes and sci-fi characters are all over the signs and a huge Batman symbol hangs over the door. If you stop and look in the window you'll spot all sorts of goodies on display, but it's nothing compared to what you'll find inside. There are display cabinets filled to the brim with memories in here. The walls are lined with action figures from countless comic books, movies and tv shows. There are soft toys, statues, busts, cookie jars and much, much more. There's even a Hoverboard! Most things here are grouped together so that you shouldn't have any trouble finding things. There's a section for Muppets, one for superheroes and a huge one for Star Wars (you can't miss it, just look for the giant Millennium Falcon hanging overhead). Prices here are based on value. Where you might go into a toy shop and see a whole line of action figures priced the same, here a range will vary depending on how rare something is. Lobo's is definitely somewhere you could find an awesome gift for that person that has everything, or a great place to find something from your childhood that you thought was long lost. Be prepared for it to bring back some fond memories!

After you have gained his attention and inquired about the location of a toy or collectible for you or someone like you you will be vaguely pointed in some random direction, after searching you will not find what your looking for instead you will find at least 6-7 other thing you didnt even know you wanted. On trying to leave the store you will encounter the owner of the shop, a child trapped in a mans body wishing to fly with the hawkmen along side his hero Flash Gordon a remnant of a forgotten age when Star Wars wasnt ruined and CGI was limited to puppets and household items. DO NOT TALK TO HIM, he may at first seem harmless but his stories are never ending and many a traveler has lost their way after listening for days to the tales he spins from a loom of a far lost era its golden threads entrance and trap all who hear it and many have never returned from this place, they still can be found roaming the aisle searching for their lost youth and a mint condition R2-D2 Original with intact stickers. May your journey there bring you as much joy as it has brought me.

I recognized several of the brands on sale but couldn't quite place one, so I (quite politely) asked the clerk who the artist was. She snapped at me "why do you need to know" and a little taken aback, I said "I was just curious, I recognized several of the other brands you have but not these." She straight up GLARES at me and says in this super rude voice "I never give out my brands because then people like YOU go buy them on the Internet for cheaper." I had been thinking about buying a little doll there as a souvenir but not after that! I've bought dolls at a solid markup from other doll shops before because I like supporting small businesses but guess who figured out the brand and is probably gonna buy one online just for sheer spite now. Wow. I have never been treated so rudely for asking a simple question in a shop! Not to mention several of her dolls were boxed with company names clearly visible on them so it's not like all the brands she sells are top secret...What a weird and disappointing interaction.

The walls are covered in clothes, toys and decorations that would keep even the big kids amongst us happy. The window display changes regularly - from watermelon throw rugs, neon bunting and wire baskets perfect for stashing toys to porcelain squirrel lamps, coloured gumboots and raincoats - it is a delight to look at each time I pass, even if I don't venture inside. The clothing is, well, expensive. I've seen coats and jumpers here with price tags higher than what I comfortably pay for my own "grown up" clothes, but for gifts and special occasions then it would certainly be the place to come for unique and high-quality items that could be passed down to every child in your family. The toys are lovely and hard wearing and there's lots of cute gift and decorating ideas if you want a cheerful gift. I've bought a couple of smaller items here as well as a 3 year-old friendly Herschel backpack. I especially love that the staff will offer to wrap gifts for free in beautiful paper and ribbon.

Thoughts of screaming tantrums to a backing track of Tickle-Me-Elmo dolls and The Wiggles songs flood my mind...most likely because I spent my high school years working part time at Toys 'R' Us. Big Dreams is the opposite of that. A far more calm and tranquil experience, this is a boutique shopping adventure designed for adults. Here you will find a mindful selection of well-crafted gifts that tick the educational, non-toxic, environmentally friendly boxes. Particularly if you're looking for beautiful old-school wooden toys, you're bound to find a nice keepsake for the family to treasure at Big Dreams. Come to think of it, the toys are so lovely and nostalgic that I wonder how many even make it to the kids hands? I suspect a few purchases may need to stay at Aunty Mel's house. You know, so they have something to do when visiting, right?

Here in the most beautiful arcade in the city, right off Bourke st mall you will find the store so aptly named Babushkas. Coming in every colour and size ( literally), you will find beautiful hand crafted and authentic pieces that make a lovely gift for those who are babushka-ly inclined. Strangely enough, I have an old work collague who has one of these tattooed to her thigh.I know that if I ever had to buy her a present, I would come here. The craftmanship is beautiful, and the store itself is like nothing you've ever seen before. Check it out.

You will see the same facial expression on her as you would on someone who collects these dolls when they see one the really like. If you're looking to buy someone a unique birthday present like I was one day then this is that place to come and find it. You might even pick something up for yourself.

They have absolutely everything in this store. I'm a comic book enthusiast, so the comic book section excited me a bit. Unfortunately, the majority of their comics are wrapped in plastic so free loading in the store is out of the question (darn!). If you're into the more Asian side of comics, they have a pretty good manga section too with all the essentials (maybe missing a lot of the obscure mangas, but Minotaur is a good place to start if you're just getting into it). They also have a wide collection of films, posters, books, shirts, and even games and toys. There are random knick-knacks too so it is always fun to come in and just take a look around even if you aren't purchasing anything. Cute things I have found: a stuffed animal of the pig TonTon from Naruto, SuperMario Brothers Mushroom Backpack, Star Trek Bobbleheads, Hello Kitty Monopoly, and multi-coloured Domos! 2 stars off because the prices are pretty steep... but even if you aren't purchasing anything, I would recommend you stopping by just to take a look around.
