My boyfriend and I were shopping around the area and we've been trying to get our childhood collection of games and systems back as adults now so retro gaming stores are a frequent visit for us. We came in here and oh my gosh we found so many games and systems we had been looking years for! We are so happy after our visit we bought everything we could! This place is has a lot of great things you won't see anywhere else but the biggest problem here is the prices. They charge way too much for everything. There's no negotiating on pricing whatsoever and trying to sell or trade games here is always frustrating . I used come here years ago and stopped going because of the pricing and things have only gotten worse. They also open whenever they feel like it. many times I have drove or walked to the store only to find it closed. This place is basically a last resort when you absolutely need to get your hands on a game today at any cost and I'm sure they have duped countless people but game collectors are too smart to shop here. read more

On top of that the store says it opens at 10 on yelp and 11 on Google but it's 12:30 and yet me and five other customers have come to locked doors. I have waited since 11:10 and a bit disappointed that I can't give a good review because this business doesn't even care about opening up on time... I wish I can give this place a zero star. I called to ask if there's any way for them to fix some game console controls due to water damage. From the start had an attitude on him . When I was telling the reason right away said no and before I can finish my sentence he hangs up. Always dealing with this type of attitude and always getting bad customer service. I would give this place a zero if possible. Since, my last review I have been to the shop another 3 times. First, some person with only 2 reviews urged me to re-evaluate the store saying it was a bad day.. I have, since been there 3 times and their bad days must be what we consider "good days" because everyday here is horrible. I have asked about the same games 4 times, everytime they flip the game over.. quote the same price since forever, and blow the dust off. But, the quotes are soooo out of proportion.. caliber 50- Genesis usually a 15-25 dollar game loose, there 35 dollars no matter what mega man 10th anniversary for Gamecube- $120 dollars ( i saw complete in box the next day at a nearby store it sold for $30) I even point at terrible games and they way too much to even remember Some new lady quoted on a price based on what she believed the back of the game looked like.. since there were no scratches.. this much.. Who the hell buys a game with scratches in the first place?! I have consistently tried to negotiate or even bring prices down.. to just normal values. Because how the hell do you guys stay in business?! I have never had an indepth conversation on games at the store everytime I've tried... Even characters like Megaman or Viewtful Joe are reduced to the price of the game. You learn nothing from these people, they will not negotiate, and more importantly I don't think they even care about video games. As a retro collector, never come here because all you will do is waste gas. A person could walk in with A NWC cart and they would have no idea what the hell it was. These people are out of their damn minds, they charge double what the game usually goes for. I am a big game collector, I do alot of shopping on ebay, gamestop and other mom and pop shops around southern California, so I know what a game should cost. The people here are robbing customers, for example they wanted $100 for a ps1 game called Tai Fu, it normally goes for around $50 anywhere else, also they wanted $25 for a ps2 game called kill switch which goes for around $10. I'm all for supporting local businesses but these people are insane for charging double for everything. One of the worst video game stores I've been to! Everything in here is overpriced. They have a good collection of video games but with the ridiculous prices the lady there is asking for I'd be much better to look elsewhere. I went in looking to buy a GBA SP but not for her asking price of $200. Then I figured I would look at her PS1 collection, I found Tomb Raider 2 and was ready to buy it until she hit me with a $80 price tag. Customer service was great! The lady didn't try to push sales on us, let us patiently look at the collections she has, was knowledgeable of the items she has. Great selection of games! probably because they're so overpriced. Think of a gaming console and im sure they have games for that system, but the prices are just ridiculous. When asked about a games price they will go and check ebay listings and add about $10-15 to that. If you dont mind paying high prices you can use their layaway option. There has only been one time where i got a good deal from them. Having grown up in Fontana and being in town one day I just happened to see games plus while riding down valley and since we don't have many mom and pop game stores around I decided to check it out. It was a pleasant surprise, though some things were a bit more expensive then they would be at GameStop or other mom and pop shops games plus had possibly the most impressive inventory of any game store I've visited ever. From originally packaged N64 controllers to video game character figurines and a Nintendo display case teeming with all sorts of collectible goodies. They also had games for a ton ton of consoles from the original NES to xbox 360 , ps3 , and wii . They even offers layaway plans ! I was so impressed with games plus that i made a return field trip with my younger sister who is also a huge gamer and she was just as mesmerized as I was. If you are a gamer in the I.E and near Fontana you owe it to yourself to check out this mom and pop game store in our own backyard! read more

Went to visit some family who lives close by. Decided to pop into the store to look for some Zelda games I don't own yet. Found this place on google maps, it's located in a pretty easy to get to area. Walked and the nice lady greeted me warmly. They have a ton of retro games from Atari 2600 all the way to current systems. The GBA selection was vast but nothing caught my eye. Right next to the GBA section was the Nintendo DS and they had a ton of cool games available and some where factory sealed. I ended up walking out with two Zelda factory sealed DS games and a huge smile. Prices where lower than eBay for sure but if you're expecting to get yard sale prices here you are dreaming. I've never understood why people get pissed when a brick and mortar store that needs to make a profit doesn't sell their games at a deep discount. Over all a great store with a great selection and reasonable prices. I will be coming back. read more

Ridiculous prices, and the people there weren't very eager to help. Only positive thing I can say is that they had a great collection, they had a lot of older Nintendo consoles and games as well as some hard to find ps2 games. They don't seem to have prices on many games either they just sort of come up with it on the spot. In short, don't go unless you don't mind paying extra for older gems. read more

I think this shop is pretty cool but it all depends on which of the staff members are present at the time. The two ladies that work here have a tendency to be rude. I've been here both when they and when they were not and the rest of their staff seemed very friendly. The worst place to go . Warning stay away . This happened twice called got a price drove down there then they doubled the price while i was there. If you're looking to pay ebay prices for instant gratification I guess this is your place, otherwise, save your money and go somewhere else. You'll notice most of the games won't have a price and when you ask you might get the treat of having the lady there go to her computer or phone, check ebay right in front of you and go with an ebay price. Problem is, most eBay prices are asking prices and not necessarily what items have actually sold for so in turn it ruins the market. That fact that she's so blatant about is pretty dismal. No clue where they get some prices from either. The had Legend of Zelda phantom hourglass for the ds selling for $85 used! Why on earth would they do that? It goes for about $15 on eBay! The only good thing I would say that they have going for them is their "treasure case", displaying Mario memorabilia from throughout the ages. None for sale though. You should also expect many of the other things in cases around the store to not be for sale. There was a gold n64 sitting in the case along with some shrink wrapped (no clue why they do this) zelda games yet the console wasn't for sale but the other stuff was. They use the store as their own glorified display case. Nothing wrong with showing off collections just don't mix it in with your actual merch. In short, find other shops or just spend a bit more time scouring places, even eBay. Not everyone is a reseller on there and you might get a deal on some items you're looking for. Here though? This place is horrible. The staff knows nothing about the games they sell. Ask them what an FX chip is in a snes game and they tell you straight up they dont know. I bought two games from Games Plus with damaged fx chips and had to argue for 20 min just to get two different copys of the same games. I didn't even want a refund, I just wanted games that work. The games sold here are all overpriced aswell. They advertise buy, sell & trade but they mostly sell. If you manage to trade anything with then you will not get equal trade value guaranteed. try and sell something here odds are they won't take it, if by some miracle they do you won't get half of what you paid, read more
