Store looks great and well stocked but the employees working seemed like they didn't want to be there. Overheard a customer ask to see something and their response was "ugh" and kicking stuff around. The selection of games wasn't bad, the workers In the store were helpful. Doesn't get anymore than 3 stars for 2 reasons. First the games aren't in the best condition if you're a collector you're lucky if you find a nice CIB. Probably the worst out of all the places I've gone to but at the same it's the only option in Lufkin so it's kind of not a big deal. Second one their regional manager sucks, they had a ps5 on the shelf going for like 755, IT'S NOT WORTH THAT. He/she is way out of touch with pricing or wants to take advantage of someone that is ignorant. It's not that difficult to get one for retail price there's drops quite often at Best Buy. You can get one for retail plus gas if you watch the inventory drops at w/e the closest Best Buy is to Lufkin. That thing should be priced in the 400s because they don't even have the box. read more

I have visited this store several times, thinking that I might find a good deal on a game I'd be interested in. I'm sure they probably have some good deals, but this is what I have a problem with: the employees there are absolutely horrible. No one ever speaks to you when you come in. Also, many times, I have heard them talking amongst themselves about inappropriate topics that should not be discussed when children are in the store. Bottom line... very unprofessional employees reflect on the company they work for. read more

There were three 'gentlemen' working the store and no one else other than myself. I was looking at the movie selection when one of them commented that someone he knew tried to "Jew" him out of something. It was unprofessional and appalling to hear this anti-Semitic comment. I know the stores are known to be edgy with music played at volumes to make you ears bleed but uttering this with such a casual nonchalant attitude does not sit well with me. It makes me wonder what else these people talk about freely. It makes me wonder whether anyone should bring there children into this place as well. My recommendation is to visit the Gamestop across the street or just order online. read more

Crooked managers One of the managers called "dibs" on an item and told the people under her not to sell it. She never put money down on it and the cashier told me I might have to come back several times to see if she decided not to buy it. I was there offering to pay full price but he wouldn't budge since it was his manager who told him to not sell it. read more

The Game Exchange suffers from a lot of what local Lufkin businesses do, an artificial, inflated cost of living , due to the Retirement Community label placed on the area. They are expensive to purchase most games from. Game Cube games selling for 70+ dollars is obscene. The service at times is friendly but not consistent and they seem more put out that your in the store and they have to help you. The trade in model is ridiculously in the favor of Game Exchange. I recently purchased a game that was supposed to have two game discs and only got one. I did get a decent deal on a AR cable I needed. I had to dig through bins to find it and ended up organizing some of the bins just to find what I was looking for. read more

In the past this store has had a lot of trouble with rude and often criminal employees. However, since the complete re-staff and change in management the overall quality had improved drastically. The staff is very knowledgeable and most are extremely friendly. They offer significantly better prices than the GameStop in town and take a much wider variety of things. Definitely recommend it over anywhere else in town. read more

Don't buy here. They will not tell you that you can only return a item for store credit. The receipt does not say it or do they tell you. You just got to know. Just pay more else where because these people will not listen to you. read more
