I was going to rent 4 books only had two available, which were the ones I needed most, thankfully. But that's not what I'm here to complain about. After canceling my online order, and purchasing the two books for $89, a day later I get another charge for $127! So of course I'm going to go in person to check it out, since they never pick their phones up. I was told it was a common error and The money would be reversed from 5-10 business days. However after waiting more than 10 business days, I have not received the money despite me going up there still trying to get it back. Keep in mind, I still didn't even have the last two books I initially needed. I then decided to dispute the charge through Wells Fargo and ended up getting my money back, with no help at all from this bookstore, other than reassuring me my money would come back, which never did. I will not be buying or renting books from here again.

I am a fast reader and can go through 4 to 7 books in one week. This would kill my expenses if I did not have this book store. All I do is take my old books in and pay the tax for the new books. You bet back price value for ALL books even if you payed half price. They carry a lot of Romance, Mystery, and Paranormal. The staff is knowledgable and if you request a book they will call you when they get a copy. They also have some childrens books and audiobooks. You will not reget going. I went to return my book, and was told that there would be a charge for the corners being bent. First off, I never even used the book. Not once. It stayed in my backpack the entire semester The book was like that when I received it. I know, my own fault for not documenting it. Secondly, wear and tear is normal. It's made out of paper... It's not going to stay perfect! $28 for a bent corner. The used book has a value of about $40. So, in the owner's mind, that corner was worth more than half the book. I was told I could either pay the $28 or buy the book for $65. I went next door to Jackbackers and sold another book I had bought. I explained the situation with this "damaged" rental, and they couldn't believe what they were hearing. They told me $28 was astronomical and that they wished they could help; but, they couldn't offer me $65 to buy the book. All in all, I learned three valuable lessons from this experience. 1) Kampus Books is a ripoff, and they will never have my business again. 2) Always fill out the damage report completely when you pickup your rental. 3) If you are in Nac and looking for a book or any other merchandise, GO TO JACKBACKERS. I don't want any other student to get swindled like I just did today.
