The new manager Drex sold my wife and me a defective Enouvation battery that Enouvation sold Ashley Furniture back in 2001. I had to call the manufacturer because I tried to get a refund after two failed attempts with two different batteries and was told that the batteries were sold as-is. Of course, the paperwork said that there was a 5 year service agreement. In any event, I would love to speak directly to the owner. He or she should know how the new manager treats long time customers. If Drex was my employee, he would have a short time to get his act together or he would be gone. I highly recommend the Better Business Bureau and the Texas Attorney General's office for this business when it comes to complaints because management doesn't listen.

I grew up in Archer City, Larry McMurtry's home town. I bought the book when it first came out and it has that error that distinguishes this as the first printing. He signed both of these books when I asked him after a talk he gave. They have a signed, first edition on their website listed for $1,000!!! They could have offered me a decent price, maybe $600 for both, and still had a $500-$600 profit. This was an insult. I remember that a long time ago I brought some quality books to sell at their Dallas store. That offer was an insult also. People must be desperate to sell their books to take the pittance HPB offers for books, then marks them to half of new price regardless of condition. I've purchased books there but I realize now that they don't respect book sellers.
