The studio is clean and has everything you need for a great workout, including drinking water and towels. Another great perk is the convenient scheduling system where you can schedule your workouts on the BCT app and even cancel if something comes up. (I hate to cancel though because BCT is my "happy place"). I'm stronger, healthier and happier since joining BCT! I can't recommend Wendy and BCT more highly!!

Training with Merrit at Beach Cities for only four short months has yielded me RESULTS! I lost 6.2% body fat while maintaining my weight. I went from having 24.9% down to just 18.7% body fat! He goes above and beyond to deliver a service that is much higher quality than you get at most gyms. When he left Equinox at a trainer, it was an easy decision to follow him to Hermosa. During the year I was to turn 40 years old, Shad and I set a goal of getting to 10% body fat without losing any weight to really focus on building lean mass. He put together a kick-ass 8 month plan to build muscle and burn off the belly fat. It was painful passing on beers and bread for 8 months but we hit the goal and Shad did a great job of keeping me motivated and on track. You can't go wrong training with Shad. Great guy, great results. But while he kicks my butt during our workouts, I did leave him in the dust when we went skiing at Mammoth last winter. This review is focused on the Assisted Stretching Studio inside Powerhouse Gym…read more I'm not really a gym person and had I not know Sasha my assisted stretching therapist had a location here I probably wouldn't have ever stepped inside. On my first visit I was greeted at the counter and directed to the studio. The studio is relaxing and comfortable, you hear some of the gym noise but it is not distracting. Sasha is very good at knowing how far to push you to get the most out of your session, her work is very therapeutic, after one visit my shoulder felt much better, I felt additional improvement after additional session. I didn't expect 100% improvement immediately but my shoulder feels much better, and after almost 10 years of discomfort I can't recommend Sasha enough. If you are in the gym stop in and schedule an appointment. Gym staff is friendly and helpful, they have a lot of equipment and space, and an assisted stretching studio on site for your pre or post workout stretch.
