The location has two massive stories of wall-to-wall geeky joy. Books, action figures, art, video gaming goodness; it's got it all. I appreciated how everything was very well organized (largely by pop culture features/brands). It was so well organized that I didn't need to actually ask for any directions or help finding stuff.

Worst part though was the truly useless customer service when I contacted them to find out where the heck my stuff was. Confrontational, blame shifting and unable to even muster an apology or read my emails properly. I've spent €1,000s here in the past but they won't be getting a penny more from me. I know their discount is tempting but there are other retailers with similar discounts and WAY better attitudes.

But of course so much more to my husband. With my husband's discovery of Dark Sphere, it means that he can now complete his army and get 25% off. Not only does that make him happy, that makes me happy too! Because that 25% in savings usually means treating me out to a nicely deserved weekly dinner for being a very tolerant wifey! Many times I have been confronted with rude staff, wrong discs in boxes and non functioning items. Whenever (and whatever) you trade in to sell for cash, they usually do not have the cash on site, leaving you with a 'credit note' in order to buy bad quality items. The staff are very poor. On more than one occasion the staff swear in front of their customers and most of them had no idea what they were doing. Their attire also had a lot to be desired as most of the men wear casual clothes and the women very little. The casual clothes not being too much of a problem, but makes it hard to distinguish which is a customer and which is a salesperson. I have given Cex, the Derby shop, I 1 star out of 5 due to its terrible service and lack of care to the customer.

Since I'm the most unlucky cookie on earth I tend to buy the bootleg DVD's that have been filmed in the movie theatre by some random person eating popcorn who decided that the best way to capture quality was to film the movie on his/her mobile phone. In these situations those bootlegs are complete rip-offs. If you don't want to face the agony of living through that possibility then come to Game Stop. They sell video games for all systems. Also, they trade your DVD's and games for store credit or cash, so if you want to get rid of that documentary on Little Richard's life story then this might be a good place to get that off your shoulders.

The store has a better feel to it than most other Game branches and the same generic stock you'd expect to find in a store, perhaps a little too many pre-owned games compared to newer ones but as Game do offer a buy/sell service of old electronics and games, I presume this can change. My comments on that service were explained in more detail in my review for Game's branch in Brighton here (https://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/game-brighton-3) - It sadly seems trade-in prices have declined over the past few years to a much poorer and less competitive rate. The staff in the store seemed nice enough, but they did seem to have too many staff at the door and they were a little overstaffed, which is strange considering I found a good number of stores throughout the rest of the mall to be the opposite. Nice store in terms of overall feel, but pretty much average in terms of product range, this is probably the better store compared to similar rival CeX for buying in terms of prices, yet worse for selling especially pre-owned goods. 3* - Nice overall feel, yet product range could be improved with more newer goods considering they are supposed to sell both and trade-in prices could also be improved, especially for mobile phones where I find Game to probably be the worst retailer for trading in (it makes me surprised they actually have a decent mobile phone section at some branches including this one!)
