I explained that this was the first day I was able to drive due to recovering from surgery, but I had phoned the number given for their branch. only to have a recorded message informing me that I had to contact the branch online or via Facebook. I showed the manageress the Facebook message I had sent that I had sent a week after receiving the phone. The manageress claimed the message wasnt answered because the company had nothing to do with their Facebook or the online number given, and offered a third of the original purchase price despite the phone being unused, refused to give her name, the area manager's name or the managing director's name. On the whole, I like Glasgow Airport. It's a decent size but not ridiculous (e.g. no train trips…read morebetween terminals), has some good selections and the staff even tend to be quite nice. But then there's weird parts of it which are like a flashback to the 80s - like Game Zone. This Game Zone is located by the arrivals gates, opposite Tesco and Starbucks. I can't say that it even looks appealing but I went in for a wander anyway. It's clean, it's tidy and the machines all look like they're at least 20 years old. Relive your youth with a game of table air hockey or Sega Rally. There's also those claw toy machine games too. There's also a change machine for when you want to spend big, with an unfriendly sign saying its for customers of Game Zone only. Welcoming!

Game in Braehead is no different from any other branch as far as general layout, pricing and facilities go. Also, and the best bit, those great staff are there as well. Always attentive, always offering help while not appearing nosy or annoying. As well as generally being well-informed on new released, they offer their *opinions* on the older ones. If they don't know a game or system, they'll ask one of the other staff who do. You're a gamer walking into a store and talking to other gamers. They're also not bad with the non-gaming crowd, so if you're buying for someone else and you don't know your PS3 from a Wii-U then as long as you try your best, they'll give good information. And as long as it's unopened, they'll swap it out for the *right* version if you've got it wrong!

Don't worry about the lines, unlike a lot of places that get freaked with lines, these guys handle long line really well. They have folks wandering up and down pre-picking your game out of the locked cabinets before you get to the till. You will get in and out faster than you think. Considering the scummy places that can sell computer games - "Hey, all of our used games are now cleaned of all blood and tears" This place comes across as fairly respectable. Although I would like them to stop asking me to bring in used games, pre-order stuff. Excuse me, I am at the till due to need to buy something not be interrogated by someone who works at a game store. If you buy your games here - you will not walk away thinking you need a bath (physically or spiritually).

GAMER'S FIX So today…read moreis Him Indoors' birthday...he decided last night he wanted to have "a two-console household"...ooookaaaaay darling!! ;-) He's already got a PS4 and today I got him a Wii U in this Game store. The location is very handy, close to loads of transport and central!! As soon as we asked for assistance, a very friendly girl came over and helped us out. She immediately told us about a bundle deal, where basically you get the console (for the normal price it is everywhere...) and a wee accessories pack free...and there are cheaper games (premium and new titles) should you chose to buy them at that point. The accessory pack had a wee stylus (the Wii U game controller is a huge thing with a touch screen and buttons etc, so this is a great wee bonus for NO MONEY!!) a screen protector for the controller screen and a pouch to keep the controller safe when not in use...FABULOUS wee extra!! The staff member then showed us where the pre-owned games were, there was a good selection! Him Indoors had a rewards card, so she happily put the points on there for us and explained that the points don't register for 24 hours, again, helpful!! He spied another game he liked the look of so asked her to put it aside whilst we went to look for other bday pressie stuff elsewhere (we ended up not going elsewhere, but she had already set it aside for him, so it was available ready to go at the till.) I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for games/consoles/iPads etc...they have a great selection (of new and pre owned games and consoles!) and they take pre orders too for the next Big Thing!!

Probably my favourite Gamestation…read more It's on a good location on Union Street near Fopp (a cheeky combo of CD's and video games, please?) and Glasgow Central. They have a huge range of video games on all the big consoles including X-Box, Wii and PS3 with different members of staff stating clear preferences for which one is their favourite. It's important to know this when you make big purchases because they will steer you away/towards particular products. They do good trade-ins and bundles and are always bang up to date with the latest releases. It's pretty big inside with plenty of room to move around and they always have playable demos of new releases which is always fun!

I went into browse and seen a tablet device I wished to purchase…read more Unfortunately all the staff were standing talking and giggling behind the counter in a wee corner, not caring that one person was serving and there was a line of people waiting to get served. When I was looking around the store all you can see is thick dust everywhere, especially the shelf behind the counter and even the black security camera was grey due to the obvious fact it really did need cleaned. After a short while I gave in and walked out as staff should not be huddled in a corner they should be serving us customers. Obviously not in cex Union Street Glasgow. And please you're staff look scruffy and not professional. Will not return
