We were waiting for two months for this guy to come and repair the dishwahser until we called another company. I do not remmember how many times we called them but more than 15 and each time they had a different excuse for not coming, they have a master in lying. WARNING: AVOID AT ALL COSTS! WORST SERVICE, TAX EVASION, MESS, LIES! Galway Appliance Repairs (also advertised online under the name Declan Murray) are cons. Not even big ones, just petty imposters that ruin people's days and households for 150 euros at a time. He advertises "no fix no fee" policy so I bit the bait like the others (check reviews on http://www.whoseview.ie/business/Galway-Appliance-Repairs-Galway-City-Galway-142259.html). It should be called "no fix, yes fee". September 2015, I contacted him for a broken dishwasher. Declan showed up, supposedly fixed it and got paid 140 euros. No invoice issued, just a scribble, HELLO MR TAXMAN! Dishwasher has been broken since, had to buy new one. Days and months of not answering our calls and texts.. Eventually my husband gets him to promise a refund. We still have not seen a cent from him. Galway appliance repairs have without doubt the worst customer service i have ever come across, the inability to fix your appliance properly, call you back, turn up when they say they will but have no problem over-charging you in the process. My experience with them is too long of a story to go into so the summarised version is this... 7 weeks ago I called them to come and fix my dishwasher. Waited around all day for them but they didn't turn up when they said they would. No phone call/text from them. I ring back a few days later and they say they will call again another day, they eventually do and ''fix'' the dishwasher at a cost of €150, I probably could have gotten a new one for not much more! That evening i put on a wash, and it is still broken, exactly the same as before.I call back no less than 32 times, have been told countless times they will return and fix it, have wasted days waiting at home for them, no response, no reply, no apologies, no excuse. 7 weeks later my dishwasher is still broken, i am out €150 and am losing the will to carry on ringing them every single day. Please take my advice and save yourself the time and money by going to another company. read more
