As someone who was planning her own wedding and did not have a coordinator, I very much appreciated his guidance and wisdom since he has so much experience with shooting weddings! He was very understanding and patient when it came to details regarding my timeline (which I sent to him only a week before the event). On the day of, we were running late in the morning, but Justin showed up early and even kindly stayed 20 minutes later than scheduled to make sure we could squeeze in all the group pictures that we wanted. Also, to both of our surprises, my uncle showed up with a camera, but Justin was very understanding and accommodating about the matter and made sure both he and my uncle were able to capture shots without getting in each other's ways. Justin did such a wonderful job positioning my husband and me for shots. We did not really come with any ideas in mind, but Justin had such a wide array of poses, both direct and candid, that we absolutely loved. He also did such a great job showcasing both of us individually and fluffing my train/highlighting the beauty of my wedding dress! Andrew, his son and the second photographer, was also so sweet and helped make sure the full effect of my veil was captured on camera. I am also so appreciative that they went out of their way and captured some special moments via video for us to have (we did not have a videographer). Overall, Justin and his team are extremely friendly, professional and flexible with the best possible attitude and careful attention to detail. I cannot believe the sheer amount of pictures that I received from the wedding day and how much time it must have taken them to carefully touch up and edit each and every single photo. Most of my pictures were taken indoors, but the lighting in the photos is immaculate. Encor previously shot engagement & wedding photo's for my brother-in-law's and the pictures came out absolutely wonderful, so we decided to also go with them for our engagement and wedding photography needs. They made the engagement shoot extremely easy, providing a list of recommended shooting locations and even scoped out the perfect area for us based on our request. On our wedding day we were worried as heavy rains were forecasted. The team did a great job of scouting out the area and giving us plan B's and plan C's in case we needed alt shooting locations. The photography was amazing and did a great job of helping us keep our energy up while keeping everything relaxed. The photographers were so creative with different lighting effects and camera angles despite not being familiar with the new wedding venue we chose. We feel they certainly got the best photos possible and were great with making accommodations for requests during the ceremony and reception. We received a few sneak peeks of our photos and are absolutely blown away so far! Amanda quoted my husband and I "about 2 weeks" turnover for our newborn photos, but it actually took over a MONTH for her to send them. We wanted to share our baby's photos with family at least by her 2 months (it was a 1 month photoshoot), but nope, no photos from Amanda and no word nor response to follow-up emails. She is also extremely slow in responding to messages. Why do I have to keep following up? We paid a good deal of money and even tipped her. Super frustrating. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone looking to get milestone photos turned around within a reasonable amount of time. When she finally responded, she still lagged with sending my photos. And when she finally sent the photos, she didn't even include the bonus pictures of my newborn's hands and feet that I was supposed to receive for paying in cash. Of course, Amanda didn't bother to respond when I asked for them. Although we purchased a discounted first year package, I won't be contacting her again. There are so many other great photographers out there that wouldn't make you wait so long for your photos. Look elsewhere.
