Geocaching ceremony in the ceremony

PYPhotography review It's been several months after the whirlwind of getting married, buying a new house, moving, settling in, etc. etc. I should've done this immediately. My sincerest apologies to PYPhotography. A little background. For both my husband and myself this is a second marriage. For both of our first marriages, we had large ornate weddings, spending ridiculous gobs of money. Later in life, and having realized that a one day party doesn't put a down payment on a beautiful house or a new car or anything else other than just a one day party, we planned a very "low-key" beach wedding. Although it was low-key, we still wanted great quality photography, food, flowers, etc. We were also on a time crunch, as a month after getting engaged in August, we decided to go right ahead and get married because number one, why wait, and number two, there is no way I wanted to be married in a cold month! We pretty much had five weeks to throw our Big Day together. After researching for quality, timing and pricing (in that order) and hoping to meld the three, I contacted several photographers. The one company that stood out to me was PYPhotography. From the get-go, Peter understood exactly what I was looking for. One of the many things that impressed me so much was his continual communication with me, from the moment we first began to chat, to the interaction of ideas leading up to and on our wedding day. He never said no, he never said I don't think that would work, etc. He listened to what I was asking for and gave me his honest input. He never tried to "sell" me. Peter is positive, easy to talk to and flexible. Further, his pricing is very reasonable. On the morning of our wedding Peter, and his lovely wife Julie, met us at our site and just seamlessly melted into everything going on. By design, everyone was in our suite, my future in-laws, my brother-in-law, a couple of my girlfriends, my makeup artist and hairstylist and our dog. My hairstylist was insane and driving me nuts, she was struggling with my veil and bobby pins were popping out of my hair at the time that we were supposed to be leaving the room. Peter suggested that we photograph her putting the veil in as we were walking, he just inherently knew how to manage the situation and assuage my stress by turning it into a creative moment. It was because of this that I was able to see the bigger picture and let my excitement, joy and happiness shine through. Peter got so many beautiful shots throughout the day! In the time leading up to our wedding, the weather had been foggy and overcast, which is obviously great for photography, but wasn't our preferred ideal for a beach wedding. Our day was hot and bright and sunny from the moment the sun came up. That of course made us totally stoked, and Peter proves his talent here, as all the photos are absolutely gorgeous. He and his wife are such a well oiled team, they had their reflectors up and were working everything beautifully and skillfully behind the scenes. Never once did I feel like my photographer was impeding on the ceremony or in the reception. Conversely, at my first wedding, the photographer would not stay out of my face, and it was very difficult to enjoy the day without him constantly stopping a toast or a dance to get a shot. Not so with PYPhotography. Honestly, there were times I was wondering where they were and I would happen to look up to see and Peter would take a shot, which made for some really lovely candid pictures. Don't get me wrong, we absolutely had our structured photos, but the process was fun and enjoyable and flowed very well. I love the impromptu shots of our puppy-dog sleeping in his tuxedo at the reception. I love photos that subtly show our location on the beach at tower 13, at our venue at the Hyatt, the laughter and joy and emotion from our ceremony, and all the other things, big and little, that make these times so special. It was such a beautiful day, it was such a beautiful wedding! As we look through and share our wedding book, we relive every bit of joy and happiness that we felt on that day through these beautiful photos from PYPhotography. Peter, we can't thank you enough for everything that you did for us in so beautifully photographing and commemorating one of the most special days in both of our lives. PYPhotography gets an absolute 10 out of 10 for professionalism, quality, cost and and results. Love you guys! Thank you again!

"Highly recommend. Peter and Julie are not only prompt and professional but they did a great job making all of us (including a very shy 2 year old) comfortable in front of the camera. Pictures turned out amazing!" - Mikaela S. "PYPhotography is amazing!!!! We had a session for our sons baptism. As soon as we arrived, they were already taking pics of us exiting our car. Very nice and professional and photos turned out amazing!! Thanks again!!!" -Rick C.

We have the two silly, active, fun kids, which gives us plenty of laughs. Sitting still, however, is not a strong point. Just as we thought they were constantly running and up and down. We didn't think we got any good pictures, but we were pleasantly surprised to discover they had captured so many wonderful moments. They know how to be quick, and had beautiful backgrounds. We would definitely ask for them for our next pictures.

After searching near and far for engagement photographer I finally found Peter. Peter was warm, friendly, inviting and made us feel like we were all friends having fun. My fiancé and had no idea about the event that was planned and Peter managed to capture every beautiful moment. I would highly recommend Peter for any event, no matter how small, you will cherish the memories Peter will capture.

Peter and his wife Julie are wonderful! They took cake smash photos for my daughters first birthday and they came out beautifully! I opted to use their props and they were great! They had everything ready to go by the time we arrived to the location. Peter is patient and creative when taking the photos and working with young children. I would definitely use PYPhotography again!

I've worked with Ken multiple times. From my family's holiday cards to headshots for my entire…read morecompany, Ken's always professional and delivers fantastic photos. Can't recommend him enough.

I hired Ken to take pictures of my dogs. No, I'm serious. Stop laughing…read more Yes Ken takes amazing photos of gorgeous couples, happy weddings, and elaborate sunsets complete with bikini clad models HOWEVER I believe the true talent of a photographer is to capture the essence of their subject. A model will usually pose and a happy couple will generally have a genuine smile.... but a puppy? TWO puppies? Have you ever tried to take a picture of a puppy? I mean a good picture. One that captures their inquisitive nature and that mischievous glint in their eye? The puppies are jet black, so a lot of the time they get washed out with regular digital cameras and their faces get lost...especially their eyes. But with Ken's lighting and his crazy super camera he really made them POP. Ken was able to capture my puppies in such an artistic way that I was blown away. I'm serious, the pictures were so amazing I had random people on FB use them as their PROFILE PIC! I did say they were MY puppies didn't I? Well they're not. I was fostering them for a rescue called Stella's Hope. I explained this to Ken because with amazing photos I could advertise them more and get the word out about them since black dogs are so often overlooked on Petfinder. Ken was very kind to them and was so easy to work with that I felt comfortable the entire time and so did the precious fur babies. The pups came from a hoarding situation when they were just 2 weeks old with their scared mama. They were terrified, sick, and starving but with a little love and kindness morphed into the two gorgeous beasts you see in the photos! So thank you Ken for these amazing pictures. Shortly after I posted Ken's pics all over the Internet.... I was compelled to write this review because guess what???? They were BOTH adopted into the SAME house this past week. They will never be separated :) Ken is worth every penny! Small price to pay for such gorgeous photos that make people stop and do a double take.
