This store has become complete garbage since Millers sold it. The service is horrible. They have failed to fulfill orders and lied about items being backordered. I have employees who have been waiting on long sleeved shirts for over a year. With winter coming again this is unacceptable. "Forgot to order them for us." Last year I was told a style of pants and shirts I needed were backordered by the company. I called that company and got the items even cheaper. They were not too pleased galls was telling customers their product was backordered when they were not. Save yourself a headache shop elsewhere. read more

My first encounter with these folks. Great products. Horrible customer service. I picked up 50 standard clip on ties for an event, then decided I should get an additional 10 long ties just in case. The young lady helping me was courteous, the young african american lady stated "now he only ordered 50 standard ties over the phone". Her tone was that of an employee that was annoyed. So are customers not allowed to order more products once we are in the establishment to pick up our items? Thats more money coming in for the establishment and your upset ....why? I gave 3 stars due to the lack of employees being retained at this facility, and management issues. On the other hand MEGAN is a freakin rock star. Line was deep when I walked in, and people were getting grouchy. She handled it like a champ. No one was there to help here. No employees were there. She was by herself dealing with customers orders, measurements, and cashiering. Kudos. Don't know why the manger wasn't helping But get employees like her there and you have a very well ran establishment. read more

I've been a City of Austin employee for 13 years. Galls has consistently screwed up my uniform orders every year since they took over the City of Austin uniform contract. Most recently I placed an order that took nearly 3 months to fulfill. When I went to pick it up it was the wrong color (one not approved by the City). They said they could reorder it, and it would take another 3 months. The low level employees try to be helpful, but half the time they can't seem to find orders. Galls is a complete failure when it comes to service, but they have a monopoly on uniform supply in Central Texas. I guess that's how they provide such consistently poor service but still stay in business. I would take my business elsewhere if that was an option. read more

staff will let you walk around and wait in line without assisting. They will wait until asked to tell you there's a small, barely noticeable tablet that you sign in at to get assistance. Not a shop and checkout location. Staff will have negative attitudes and are entitled. When asked basic questions about items or stock, they act as though they are inconvenienced by having customers. Location almost exclusively focuses on major departments and agencies within the city of Austin, they could care less about the regular customer. This location needs a good competition in the Austin area. Somebody please open another business with customer service capability. Low supply of general used items necessary for job duties. I've always dreaded going to Miller Uniforms. Stuff is rarely in stock. Orders can get delayed. And sometimes, but thankfully not always, it can take a while to get alterations done. Truth be told, they've never catered to individual buyers, but rather depended on government contracts for bulk purchases. As such, if you were buying individually, they saw you as an inconvenience at best. And if you were picking up a uniform issue from your department, they saw your employer, not you, as the customer. Today, that changed. I'd heard that Gall's had bought out Miller's, but today was the first time I'd been in since the change became more or less official. I needed something simple - a new patch sewn on to my fleece jacket. I came in to Miller's, fully expecting to wait forever and wish there was another uniform store in town. Instead, I had an experience that approaches a normal retail experience. I was greeted. I was sold the item that I came in for (Texas Licensed Paramedic patch). They offered to sew it on while I waited. Less than fifteen minutes later, I left with a new patch on my fleece jacket. The price was fair, the service was quick, AND I was actually thanked for my business by two employees as I left. For those of us in public safety and public service, it appears the new ownership has improved things significantly. read more

Horrible. The only reason I go here is because my employer uses them and I have no choice. Service is horrible. I've gone in there before when the place is almost empty and had to wait 20 minutes to see anyone. The clerks don't seem too worried about it. Don't go there unless you are on duty. Might as well let your employer pay for the time you waste watching the employees chat. Orders take forever to fill. I dropped off a uniform item and was told it would be ready the next day. I asked if I needed an order number and was told no. So two days go by and I stop by to pick them up. Of course they weren't ready. They told me it would be ready the next day and they would call me. Of course they never called me. I waited a week and called them. Of course they had just sent it over for sewing that day. I have a winter uniform item that I picked up in March. It was the wrong type and needed modifications. It is now almost July and the item isn't ready for pick-up yet. I asked if they thought I would have it by next winter. They said most likely. Bottom line: Avoid this place for all personal business. Go there on duty to avoid wasting personal time. Don't go there unless you have at least a 30 minute cushion because you won't make any meetings you have scheduled otherwise. When I retire I am going to blast them on my exit interview. read more

Pros: Two stars only because the if there's something not available in the store, one can likely get it on their website, the ability to get uniforms embroidered at same location And Casey was great, despite being the only staff at the moment attending to 5 customers (including myself) in one occasion. She really tried her best to assist us all and took time for each one of us and helped with a smile. Cons: An extreme hassle! I go here only because my organization chose them and I had no other option. The times I've been here, this place has been very short-staffed for the traffic it gets. So Custumer service is not the best likely because staff is overwhelmed. I picked some items at the store and others the staff order online while I was there. Was given a date for all To be ready in approx. 25 days after which is fine, but the issue was that 2 of the main items I picked at the store, after trying it on and having staff separate it (supposedly) were given to another customer and the online items were not ready to pick up until after almost 2 weeks after the set date. every time I called to follow up on my order, something else had to be changed from the brand/item I chose to something else because for whatever reason they could not explain, it wasn't with my order anymore. they can definitely do better with order tracking and staffing I wish I could just avoid it completely. read more

This place is a joke since Galls bought them, service is awful, nothing is stocked, still waiting on items ordered 2 months ago and they don't know when they'll be in, agency contact with them so employees are at the mercy of this so called business. I've been coming here for almost a year, as a Security Company owner this place has been nothing less than amazing! Everytime I come here it's normally "an emergency" where I need multiple shirts in a short time. They have ALWAYS accommodated my request and the work is always great. I see reviews saying "hope you don't need it soon" but that's far from the truth! I only come here for my officers uniform needs and NEVER have I had a problem! Once I remember them staying open after 5 just for me to pick up a uniform and I was running late. I was in last week to get some embroidery work done on 4 shirts, I advised I could pick them up the same day, the attendant advised the shirts will be ready in 3 weeks. I repeated "3 weeks", puzzled I asked if they ship them out? She said no they do it in house, again I repeated "3 weeks". She said they were backed up. Horrible service, cheap products, slow turn around. Sure wish there was other uniform options. read more

Ok (3stars), I'd give them a "Meh, 2 stars" if it wasn't for their floor staff who generally do what they can to assist you. Having said that, TRY ON EVERYTHING YOU GET THERE!!! If you find out later that they made a mistake and ordered a similar size NOT the correct size YOU will have to pay to correct it. BE WARNED and have a great day. read more

I am reading a lot of 1 star and 2 star reviews about things that have been pretty normal and standard regarding customized uniforms. Every time I've been to Miller Uniform or Gall's since it has been taken over by Galls the service has been consistent and pretty much the same. Folks there are pleasant and seem genuine in wanting to get you what you need. For Agency items that require approval they have a system in place and use it. The few days or a week to get an approval isn't about Galls being slow. It is part of the process for getting uniforms at my agency at least. Overall I think they do a good job. Careful review and trying on your order before leaving has always been the norm. I recommend checking your order carefully and trying everything on. These folks are working hard and are happy to take care of anything you need in due time to get it done. They have a lot of people asking for different things and because of that customization I think it is understandable that it takes a while to get everything done. I am satisfied with their efforts, timelines, and their quality is always good and prices have been in line and fair with the market. read more

Since it became Galls it seems that any semblance of customer service is gone. They staff is nice enough but they are so totally not interested in your time. You may wait for 30+ minutes when it isn't busy. They know they are the only game in town so there is no pressure to do better. They need more help to serve the customer. read more

Unlike GTs for my gear, i go and use miller for any and all uniforms. They have quality gear and a great staff.

While the staff was polite on the phone and made the order easy, I had to go to the post office to pick up an order that cost more to ship than the value of the product. The worst part is that Miller did not cover the shipping. I had to pay $1.56 to accept it. I should have refused and had it sent back. read more

Excellent customer service and incredible quality on products! I was a new hire for corrections needing to get my uniforms, and I am so glad I was sent to Millers! As soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted by an already very busy staff. A staff member, Brian or Bryan as I can't recall the spelling, was very patient with me as I tried on multiple sizes of uniforms trying to find the best fit. He also offered advice and tips on how the items should fit, especially considering the environment I would be working in. They definitely won a repeat customer! read more

This place is amazing! My husband and I walked into Miller Uniforms looking for jungle pants (we're hiking in Costa Rica in a couple weeks and needed something durable, waterproof and with lots of pockets), and walked out feeling super impressed with the store's selection and the staff's customer service. A very friendly and knowledgable man named Brandon helped us find exactly what we were looking for and even fitted my pants to size. I'm a petite woman, so when I buy pants, I always have to take them to the tailors to get hemmed, a process which can take a few days up to a week or two; but when you buy pants at Miller they'll actually hem them on site for free at no extra charge. It only took about 10 minutes for me to get two pairs of pants hemmed! read more

My agency and I have been with Millers for a long time, and they used to be pretty solid but these days they're not quite so. The quality of their embroidering and customization is generally pretty good (they're known to make mistakes, they may benefit from a more focused quality assurance system) but the time it takes them to actually complete even small orders is unacceptably long. For example, two soft-shell 5-11 jackets with an agency name on the front left, back, and personalization on the front right took just over 2 and a half MONTHS to deliver. What made this worse is that Millers was dishonest and unclear about how long this order would take, until long after the order was place. Miller's advised that the jackets were back-ordered and that there would be delays. One day later, a coworker told me that she had just received her shipping notification for the same jacket from 5-11 (without and special embroidery). This isnt the only time either; many of our personal were told by Millers a variety of reasons that their order, most of which that included different products, was delayed. Most blamed manufacturer backordering, which may have been true but also a convenient excuse. When we first started using them years back, it was about a three week delivery on most size orders. Now, we struggle to find an order that doesn't extend over the 2 month mark. If Millers could at least be honest about such turnaround times, then at least we wouldn't be surprised and wouldn't expect them to have faster delivery times, comparable to what they used to do. This extended delivery time is coupled with overpricing. Costs appear to have increased significantly and are becoming hard to justify for our employees. We have been loyal to Millers for a long time, but it's hard to stay when other options can do turnaround times in under a week and a half, depending on what product needs to be shipped in (one option can complete orders within days if they have the product in stock). Most options are about 5-15% cheaper for every product that we order (includes all fees; total cost). IN SUMMARY: Product quality/quality of embroidery: 4.5 stars Delivery times: 0.5 stars Cost: 3 stars PROs: -In-store staff is outstanding -Good quality of embroidery and customization CONs: -Unacceptably long order delivery time -Slightly overpriced read more

I don't even know where to begin with this review. I will start it off with a good one. I am in there all the time it seems like and Angela or Brandon always seems to help me them two are like a team player. If one don't know the answer then Angela will say hang on let me see if I can find out for you. Them two are always willing to help and go out of there way. I brought in a product to get some patches changed out and Angela was right on it. She was like let me get this started for you and then I will get you rung up. She said that it would take 5 10 minutes to get it done and man she was right. The other staff is very helpful to I have worked with Derek also. The other two I have not. But I have noticed that the last couple of times that I have been in there their is some girl with long black hair always sitting in the chair she never says hi or how can I help you I will always hear Angela and Brandon and Derek on the other end when she is by the door. I was told that she was in training but I never see her even try to help anyone I always see her in that chair. I came in one day last week and man everyone was busy but her. They kept paging front counter line one and she wouldn't even answer the phone is this the kind of customer service that this company is going to? I will say that I am very please with the names I have listed above. I will only continue to work with one of them 3 from here on out. If you are wanting great customer service go See Brandon, Derek or Angela. They will go up and beyond for your needs and make sure that you have a good time there they always make me laugh.
