TONS OF OLD VIDEO GAMES. Perfect place for people who are kids of the 80's and 90's. I saw a few kids there with their parents and it was a school day. There is a second building a block down with tons of pinball machines for a small extra charge. (That is definitely for me but I didn't have the time.) About 95-98% of the games worked/set up for free play. It's on Ogden Ave so thankfully, they have a lot. Best part is you think you have seen all the games and you discover there is yet another room with more games.

Crazy. For real, this is like a 1980s arcade that traveled through time to 2020s Brookfield. The quantity of games you can play here is staggering and includes well-known vintage stuff like Pong, PacMan and Qbert, plus some really odd little-known stuff, and some newer things from the 90s. They even have a few recent things you'd find at a Dave and Busters. You can follow the huge maze all around and probably get a bit lost. But you'll have a great time doing it. You pay a flat fee to enter and then play as many games as you want until you're done. It's a good system so you're not constantly lining up at token machines.

Lots of variety if games. Great atmosphere. It was amazing playing all the games from the past. Will definitely go again

The best arcade place in the world. You only pay $25 for unlimited play. I was there for 8 hours of playing arcade games.

    This place goes on forever!

Over a 1000 different arcade games. All the classics plus a bunch I've never heard of. Great staff! No smoking and no gum allowed thank goodness. It's crowded but my friend and I struggled to pull our husbands away after over 3 hours.

Street view. Was stoked they have their own parking lot.

Popped in 11pm as i was driving across the country. I needed to get my buddy a t shirt from here since he bought me one tears ago when his size was out of stock. I walked in to see a group of 8 or so bodies near the front desk and the curious employee squinted and cocked his head sideways as i strolled in an hour before closing. He could tell jyst how i looked that i wasnt his normal clientele. I told him i just wanted a t shirt and to use the bathroom and he obliged. He even offered me a donut for free as i left which was awesome since I barely ate that day as i drove from Badlands Natl Park un SD. I wanted to play an hour of arcades but couldnt justify wasting the time or energy when i was trying to drive as far as I could before i slept. Overall i look forward to the day i can return. Thanks for the donut!

You pay one price to play old school arcade games it was a lot of fun! They also have pinball machines in another building about a block down. It opens in the afternoon for a little extra charge. The whole family went & it's definitely something we would do again!

Update 3/27/24 It's $25 per person for the arcade only. I have not been to the pinball building yet. This is a fun place and it would be 5 stars. However, on my recent visit they need to fix some of the games before bringing in more games. Examples would be some of the games were turned off, screen was either too shaky or too dark, games were turned on but you couldn't play them (kept saying insert coins). Service could be friendlier. Parking is very limited but you can park on the side street in the back for free. (Residential)

Review Visit: January 23rd, 2013 The largest arcade in the United States of America. Are you still with me? Good. The Galloping Ghost Arcade is the largest arcade in the United States of America at a staggering 650+ games. That is astounding. My friend, Jacob, offhandedly mentioned this place during a conversation one day. After looking into it, I knew I had to go. Lucky enough, a lot of my friends are gamers and I was able to convince a lot of them to go with me. While it was an early morning drive to get there at a decent time, it was worth every second. Entry cost was $10 at the time for admission. That got you unlimited gaming time for the day. You can hop from one machine to the next without worrying about having enough quarters or tokens. It is a great business model. Price has crept up to $20 for admission but for what you get, it is still a fantastic deal. During our visit, I think they had around 300-400 games. Over the last few years, they have expanded into the next building to increase their gaming floor. With almost 700 cabinets and games, you'll need all the floor space you can get. One thing I noticed is the temperature in Galloping Ghost. With all the machines, even in the winter, it was warm in there. They probably don't need to run any heat with all the machines in there. Keep that in mind if you visit during the summer. While it was comfortable in the winter, it might get a bit warm in the summer? That's just a guess. My friends and I spent the whole afternoon here and we barely scratched the surface of what they offer. Now that they have expanded, you may need a whole week to play everything. They seem to offer modern games and tournaments on top of just being a place to play arcade games. Galloping Ghost also had a small shop of drinks and odds and ends for sale. I picked up a Pokeball perler bead magnet before I left. It still hands on my fridge to this day. Hopefully they still sell small stuff like that as I would like to get more in the future. Speaking of, I have plans to return in 2019 with my dad. He grew up in an arcade so this will feel like home to him. I just hope he doesn't plan on moving in! I will snap some new photos when I go back since most of the ones from 2013 are of low quality. Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, Start.

This place remains a tribute to 80s gaming. Since our last visit before COVID it has expanded to take up an entire block. I've never seen so many arcade cabinets in my life. I wish there was some organization as they seem to be more or less randomly distributed. You could spend hours here.i can't explain it but it even smells like the 80s.

Very dark. Not very clean. I suggest you go early when they open. Very cramped with the number of games in there. Tons of games tho.

There are free lockers to put your belongings as well as a free coat check. There are restrooms and a water fountain in the very back. There is a lounge area that is used for private parties but you can also just sit in there. You can watch other people play on the big screen. I recommend wearing casual or active attire because you'll get a workout for sure Each game room has a variety of levels and different types of games within that room. The cost per person is cheaper Mon - Thurs. $20.99 for 60 mins. $26.99 for 90 mins. Fri - Sun it's $26.99 for 60 mins and $38.99 for 90 mins. For Mondays and holidays, it's best to check back because the prices do change. I highly recommend booking on the website instead of blindly going there. The slots fill up fast. The games are short so you don't have to wait long to go into that room. The room types are arena, climb, grid, hoops, mega laser, hide, control, mega grid, strike, portals, and press. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There's no issue with finding parking.

There are plenty of game rooms to choose from, and there are lockers to put your belongings in as well. Two things I want to note is that while we were in the "hoops" room, another team's play overrode ours, and our game was stopped mid game. The door unlocked, and they walked in on our trivial hoops game, and the board completely reset to their game. Annoyed, but understanding glitches happen, we left so they could play their game, and we tried the second hoops room, and the door wouldn't unlock for us! Second, we wanted to do the lasers room, and the instructions weren't clear, and when the AI voice announces the game rules, we couldn't understand what he was saying at all, and completely missed and lost our game immediately lol. Other than those two issues, the other rooms were great. We loved the Mega Arena and Climb rooms the most. The wait times weren't too bad, even though the place was packed due to it being Thanksgiving week. You'll definitely get your cardio in, and don't forget your water bottles!!

We ended up dividing the 90 minutes into (3) 30 minute games so our groups could keep rotating. They have lockers to lock belongings in, rooms can host up to 6 people and have options to order simple beverages while you play. Our first game was Box Party which is their version of a Mario Party. There are a couple of mini game options as you work through the map. This by far was our group's favorite game! We chose the 30 minute game but easily could have played it for the full 90 minutes. Our second game was Floor is Lava. This one was fun but a bit harder than I was expecting it to be. There are parts where you bump into other players so I recommend playing with good friends or family. This is more of a group task game. Our third game was Angry Birds. This overall was the group's least favorite as it wasn't very physical. The game takes on the classic idea of launching birds at towers to get points. This was more individual tasks than team tasks. Overall, this was such a fun experience! They offer games for any aged guest and for any comfort level of players together. I enjoyed having the personalization of our "meeps" to play in each game too.

I could have…read moresworn there were very few machines that cost a buck and the rest were 25 cents or maybe 50 cents if one wanted to splurge. When I was here yesterday, I found that almost all of them were a buck, a few were 75, and a fewer were 50, and maybe on for 25. Now that said, Logan Arcade does have a tremendous selection of different pinball machines. Many of them are modern Sterns, some are older Bally's, a few old school, and one being the mechanical type with no computers within. There is also a fair selection of other arcade games, some vintage, others a bit newer, which I did not partake in. I have to say though, one of them was Dance Dance Revolution, which I haven't seen for at least 15 years! On the modern side, they have a totally awesome motion + VR-based game, which is a lot of fun to play. Though I am a bit embarrassed because I think you can see how I'm playing right behind me on a massive screen. Still well worth the five bucks for the experience, if for nothing else. Another thing I really like that they do is that instead of operating based on tokens, it's quarters. The one advantage to token is you're able to buy them with a credit card (though usually in $5 increments). Quarters, meanwhile, don't lock you into playing a certain amount of games - get as many quarters as you need and then leave with what you don't- it's US currency, use it anywhere you'd like. Where it comes to their bar service, I can't really comment as I didn't buy anything this time around (the photo is from a few months ago). However, looking at the menu, it seems they are more about cheap options as opposed to anything worthy of writing home about. So we are left with an arcade that is good fun to kill a couple of hours. It's one that has market rates for modern arcade games, cheap classics, and cheap booze. Likely more funs with friends if you are competitive.
