We found this cute little restaurant by accident. They had a sign out front that read "Chow-dah". You could not help but pronounce chowder with a thick Boston accent. Since we are the North East, we figured try this out. See if they REALLY do serve amazing "Chow-dah" and hoagies. Sure enough! The hoagies were fresh made. Their signature hoagie style bread was as if they made it up north. Dense and perfect for the Italian sub. My Husband got the Clam Chowder. He was blown away! He's from Baltimore, and it is very difficult for him to find delicious sea food anywhere that is not near the water. The wait for our food was not long. You place your order at the counter and have a seat. They call out your name. The price was decent for lunch. Friendly staff. We were there on a Friday around lunch time. So, the crowd size was expected a little busy. I can imagine during a festival downtown, this place would be very busy. Not a lot of room. We will be back! Great selection of food for lunch!!

This is a review of the Smithfield store only. Went to the "going out of business" sale for…read moreprevious customers. Well no wonder their going out business. The "bitchy" ladies behind the desk must be the reason for it. Stonewalled any questions we had about if they had anything more in the warehouse. Flyer said they were clearing out all inventory including what was in their warehouse. Only had Queen bedroom sets on the floor and we wanted a king. We were told that they could only look it up by specific set number and to check with a sales person. So we did. And what did he do when we asked. Go straight to that same desk to ask. I think she saw who he was asking for and told him the same thing. With a snotty attitude I will add. How were they planning on selling out of inventory when they wouldn't even check the inventory. ‍. We left and after calming down we decided we'd try the Wilson store. TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE!!! Sales man was over the top helpful and checked on inventory. AND we left with a king size full bedroom set that was totally in stock in the warehouse. I'll finish with this, I hate their going out of business after 138 years but evidently there their tired of dealing with the repeat customers.

They've got the best selection of artificial flowers, vases, pots, wreaths, etc in the Triangle, and beautiful outdoor wicker furniture. I made a return stop to Carolina Pottery at the Carolina Premium Outlet Mall. I wasn't a fan of it…read moreon my first visit a few years back. It just felt junky to me this visit. Quality is more important to me than being a low price, as something that will last years is a better value than something that will just last a short time. Before, I noted that the majority of items were made in China and the store lacked locally made products or handcrafted pottery. I appreciate locally made products and the craftsmanship. So it is disappointing that these products are not available. It does have a large craft section for those looking for something similar to a Michaels store. Outdoor furniture seemed to be another big seller. It is a busy store so some seem to like it. I'm not sure how the prices compare to other stores. Most of these outlet stores tend to price high. I do not see myself returning here ever.
