Amazing service, bartender was awesome. great cocktails and beer selection- food was delicious

The inside of the restaurant has a nice industrial brewery vibe. Has a nice patio with garage doors to the inside. The bartender/ server was very personable and kind, even offering multiple samples. Food was very tasty with good portions. Pretzel was one of the best I've had, and the Gallant Fox Burger was a good combo of salty and sweet with the bacon jam.

So many great beers and cocktails to try. If you enjoy pub foods, order the pretzel and cheese curds! Check their social media pages and plan a visit when there are some local musicians playing . Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating , family/dog friendly as well.

Dining room seating There is also patio seating.

Nice place with good food! Burgers and wings and cold beer was great! On the main drag of Mt Washington (31X). Lots of beers to choose from.

Gallant Fox Brewing is a very nice little microbrewery stuck in the middle of one of Kentucky's quaint little towns. There's nothing flashy or commercial about it which makes it a great destination if you are into locally made micro breweries. While Kentucky is well know for it's bourbon industry, the microbreweries popping up all over the state are more welcoming for those who don't care for whiskeys. We decided to take my in-laws on a day trip to the Mt. Washington Farmer's Market and drop in for a bite to eat. We were a little concerned about the noise level because we saw it on a few reviews. We decided to go when they opened and the noise level was not an issue. If that's a concern, I recommend going on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The food was on the upscale bar food side. We started with the pretzel and no matter what else you get from the menu, the pretzel is a must. It was so buttery and delicious. It had just enough bite to not be too rubbery and just enough crispness on the outside without being too dry. The sandwiches were good and the portions were perfect for us. There was nothing stellar about the sandwiches. The servers were very kind and helpful and we had a wonderful afternoon. They are a relatively new business and still have a couple minor kinks to work out but they are well on their way to being a fantastic destination to go if you are ever on a tour of Kentucky or on the Bourbon Trail. They are located roughly 40 minutes just south of Louisville, KY and the drive is very nice once you get past Fern Creek (A Louisville suburb).

Men's urinal! Lol

We stopped at the coffee shop across the street and were surprised to see Gallant Fox Brewing so we had to stop in for dinner. The food is decent, not amazing. But I did enjoy my burger. The fries are excellent though! I am not a beer person but I got a pumpkin one anyway and it was pretty good! They had trivia that started shortly after we got there. It was done well and very fun! The outside area is nice, especially on a day where it's not too chilly. The inside seating is fine and nothing special, but the rest of the place is very fun and decorated nicely. My favorite thing may be the men's urinals lol. See pics.

Came here for a coworker's birthday. The location is great and we loved the patio. It was a gorgeous evening so we enjoyed sitting outside. I got a beer flight and enjoyed all the beers I tried. We ordered a pretzel to share and then each ordered a burger. The pretzel was soft and delicious. When the burgers came out, I was a bit disappointed. They seemed to be frozen and just thrown on a grill. There was little seasoning and the taste was just mediocre. The fries were pretty good. Overall, I'd stick with appetizers because those at least seemed fresh. Service was quick and friendly. We also enjoyed the trivia that was going on. I'd return but wouldn't order a full meal here.

My wife and I came in here on opening night! We had two flights of beer and two pints as well. It was a great atmosphere and great overall beer experience I must say. I am so glad this place is open and that they are here in my local community. This will be a great spot with many fun nights in my future. The owner came over and spoke to us while we were there and he is super as well. Looking forward to many awesome nights here

I also love the corners with comfy couches and chairs. Plenty of beer to enjoy plus a few slushies - although those are so sweet that I'm not a fan. You can bring in your own food or order delivery from a few spots in the Gaslight District. I especially appreciate it's a family friendly space because my sons are teens. It was so much fun to enjoy music bingo with them while eating pizza from Parlour. Outdoor seating as well - lots of it. Easy street parking. Quick service. Follow them on social to keep up with their events. I'm going to start suggesting this space for more meet ups with friends.

They had a ton of beers, but we opted for the slushies -- the Pineapple one was hot weather perfection, and the other was so incredibly strong i couldn't finish it. I also ordered an Old fashioned, and it was an ultimate concoction with a giant rock of ice. You know an Old fashioned will be good when they don't serve it with chipped ice. We hung out for a few hours and played cards, and the bartenders were friendly and accommodating. I wish this place was closer to us cause we would be regulars! At the very least, we will return in cooler weather to enjoy the outside patio.

There are a few neat breweries in Louisville. Butchertown, which resides in the old meat packing…read morearea; Gravely, which looks like a stereo shop; Trellis, with its artsy feel; and places like Atrium and Monnik, which occupy their older buildings with flair. Once you get through the door, there is a decent sized bar to your right. The rest of the place is seating at tables, both high and low. There is also a outside area in the back. If you have been to Atrium, the feel is very similar. From a beer standpoint, Monnik is in the B+ range, which means it is decent. I grabbed a flight and then a couple of samplers of seasonals after dinner. Very innovative and I would highly recommend trying some of the styles outside of the flagship. The peach grisette, a style you don't find often, was on point. Same with the New Year Old Ale and BA Minimator. Needless to say, I had my designated driver after these 11% and 12% brews. It is not a place people would travel across the country for, but the beer is better than most in the area. I usually stop at Atrium, which I would put in the A category, but I love exploring new places. Monnik did not disappoint. For food, we just grabbed a pretzel. My two cents. THe beer cheese is just okay. The Gouda fondue is the bomb. If I could have the spent grain bread or pretzel with just gouda fondue, I could eat this regularly.

Do pigs fly? Perhaps but it's part of the Butcher town history…read more This brewery is located in the Mellwood neighborhood arts and culture center. This brewery goes back to the early roots of Louisville . The barrel aged beers and ales make a unique and distinctive addition to the bourbon and other spirits they produce. During the 1960s a plight to save this area began. Many shot gun shacks surround the area. They are shacks with their own quaint detail and design. They have carried this over in the decor and style of ales. This brewery is too cool they have no holds bard for anything that steps on an inch of human rights. You can be black, white, illegal or rainbow all are welcome wherever; just leave the hate alone. Love and support for others is carried on here. In fact it's the main purpose for this thread of Louisville and butchers town. The action of activism is truly alive here in Louisville and all over the city, not just this brewery. It's beyond belief here. Love and the community come together for what we have seen. The art that is in the lobby here truly shines through. Now come and join in the passion that connects us all. It's the fact we are all human and not ashamed to admit our existence. We are not mistakes. We will drink and appreciate our fellow humans and flaws but work together to solve the issues that plague us. Let's drink to that!

I got the Mango-Colada Sour, and this was delightful. It seems like Butchertown Brewing really excels at sours, fruit beers and fun concoctions. So if you're not afraid to "fruit the beer," this is a good place to check out. They also have seltzers, hard sodas and more typical beer offerings. And while it is small, you can still easily find food. It's right across the Mellwood Art Center courtyard from Danny Mac's Pizza (my all-time favorite Louisville pizza spot!). And you can order via Danny Mac's website and choose to get it delivered to Butchertown Brewing. You don't even have to leave your chair to get delicious pizza! Butchertown Brewing also hosts fun events, like the aforementioned trivia. Actually it was trivia bingo -- so the more fun, easier-to-play version of triva, which I actually won a prize in! I won a gift card to come back to Butchertown Brewing, and I will definitely be partaking again soon!

It's one of the most aesthetically pleasing taprooms in the area, for sure; their style is a combination of art deco flourishes and modern brewery trappings, and the result is warm and distinct. Really an ideal place to pop in and relax with a pint or two, although bear in mind that the Middletown location is the one with food service. I was initially drawn to Great Flood for its blonde ale and saison, but I actually think they excel most at dark beers. The '37 Porter is a low-key Louisville icon and I've never had a stout here that was shy of greatness. There's also a wide variety of guest taps and they get some uncommon, appealing beers on deck. The bartenders are easygoing and informative; they give great recommendations across the board and don't play favorites with Great Flood beers vs. the guest taps. This may not be my favorite brewery in the area, but I'd argue that it's the most underrated. Charming as hell with consistently strong output.

Band was still a little too loud to hold a conversation- this is my biggest con. The band was good- just not able to order without loudly talking or repeating self and couldn't really hold a conversation at table due to volume level. Everything came out hot and fresh. Mac & cheese dishes were so good ( and I'm not a Mac & cheese lover), very filling and full of flavor. Buffalo sauce was kickin! The dish has big chunks of chicken. The hamburger mac & cheese was the best! Loved everything about it. I added mushrooms to it which just made it perfect! BBQ Burger was cooked well, nicely flavored, juicy and loved the home made fries. Service was wonderful. Will absolutely come back!
