Luis isn't just a woodworker, but a true artisan. He treated that one specific jewelry case with the respect it deserved, carefully repairing the worn look of it, refreshing the finish and bringing it back to life. Honestly, my jewelry case now stands sturdier- hell, even prettier than I ever imagined. I also brought a green painted chair with metal studs on the seat that needed one of its sticks on the back to be permanently placed. And while I tried using wood glue to hold the stick in place, that stick would hold for about a minute and fall all over again. So I needed Luis' help. Again, he went beyond the 'wood glue' because in reality, my chair needed more surgery than that. Just a heads-up: there might be a bit of a wait, as your pieces won't be the only ones on his bench. For…read moreabout $30K, they power washed the house, scraped as needed, and painted with one coat of quality Benjamin Moore paint. We paid an extra 12% or so to do some minor carpentry repair and touch up black shutters as needed. The crew worked diligently through the day, thoroughly cleaning up and maintaining a neat workspace every day. Our original contract had a 6.5% sales tax added to the total, and we had to ask for that to be removed. Massachusetts does not collect sales tax on services performed. We occasionally had some difficulty understanding each other and recalling details of previous conversations. Lesson: check and doublecheck the written contract. Gio is a hard worker, confident, and not one to waste time. Our house looks terrific, and we're hoping the fresh upgrade lasts even longer than Gio's 5 year warrantee.
