Later the cashier went to the back (assuming to talk to the manager/owner), and he gave me back a loonie (technically it should have been 1.13, but whatever). This place chose to use metal utensils instead of single use ones. The knife he gave me was quite disgustingly dirty (see pic). The food itself was decent. And for the amount of food, the price is very reasonable. I got the Raven Platter. My friend's fish platter was also decent, but looking at the texture and color, we couldn't tell if it was cooked thoroughly or not. We chose to keep eating and hope for the best. I finished most of my food, but I couldn't really comfortably eat all of the food, not knowing whether the plate or anything else they used was really clean to begin with. My first two visits were Yelp experiences, which allowed me to sample a bunch of yummy food: - Spicy, garlicky kale caesar salad with lemon herb chicken - PERi chicken rainbow bowl - PERi mac - Naughty nata - Strawberry lemonade I loved everything that I ate. It's nice to shake things up. I either get chicken with a couple of sides or chicken wings. The caesar salad had a nice garlicky, spicy kick to it. Kale is generally tough and boring, but it was the opposite experience and was enjoyable to eat. The rainbow bowl was also awesome. I'd let to get it again and hope that the place has avocados. It ran out of them, but I got a grilled pineapple instead. So good! I love mac and cheese. The PERi mac has different spin on it. It's less cheesy than your traditional mac and cheese. In addition to the complimentary meal that we received, we ordered the PERi-PERi Chicken Bowl. We were shocked when we saw that it came with three very small pieces of chicken. What was even more shocking was how dry and overcooked the chicken was. It was almost like having chicken jerky. For $16, we expected a bit more. The rice was flavourful, but it could not make up for the chicken we got.
