I've gone to Judee for a few alterations now...the most recent was my bridal gown. Judee did…read morephenomenal work on my gown and I could not have been happier - she's a true artist with a sewing needle!!! The bridal shop or designer had sized it incorrectly or the gown was marked wrong and it needed to be let out a little. The trick was the extensive hand beading and intricate detail work throughout the entire bodice. It also had a chapel train made of tulle and I wasn't thrilled with doing a bustle. Judee suggested cutting the train off and making the entire gown one length and that's what we did. I got so many compliments on my gown - how well it fit, how beautiful it is and also everyone actually loved that I didn't have a train - bustling it would not have enhanced the gown in any way and actually would have have detracted from it. I wish I could show how much work Judee needed to do to remove the train and make the gown all one length as well as hemming it to the proper length. This gown must have had a dozen layers! I've included a close up of the gown and then a full length of it on me (p.s. the hem doesn't look even in the photo but that was either the way I was standing or it came up - it was even). I've also been to Judee to have a bridesmaid gown altered as well as many cocktail dresses. She does fabulous work on everything and is so great to work with! Judee is so friendly, easy going and accomodating! I'm not tall, have a short waist and fairly large bust/shoulders so I pretty much have needed alterations my entire life. Judee is by far one of the best I've been to and she is also very reasonably priced for the magic she does. I'm sure if I had had the alterations done at the bridal shop, it would have cost a LOT more!

Best of all, she really understands how clothes are supposed to fit and makes sure everything is the most flattering it can be. Whether it's something she custom designs or a simple alteration, I always feel like a million bucks in her clothes and get tons of compliments when I wear them. Can't recommend Irina highly enough!

She has consistently done exceptional work, and has never let me down. I highly reccomend Irina.

TL:DR - If you're a bride in search for your dream dress in the Scottsdale area, this is the BEST…read morebridal salon (hands down). They're honestly better than salons in the NYC/SF area. I booked appointments at Mariee Bridal, Destiny's Bridal and Bella Lily Bridal (in Glendale), and Mariee is in a league of its own. I'm a crazy researcher. I looked at all reviews (Yelp, Knot, Google, word of mouth). After visiting all three, I was honestly surprised the other two salons are reviewed as highly as they are in comparison to Mariee. Being the analytical type, I rated each of the salons in a number of categories that were important to me (from 1 to 10, 10 being the highest/best score). Hope this helps future brides! Dress Selection: Mariee Bridal - 10 Destiny's Bridal - 5 Bella Lily's Bridal - 8 Mariee had the largest selection of dresses. I also thought they did the best job at learning your style. The dresses are presented in a way where you can actually see them, which is not the case at Bella Lily's (they never let you see the full assortment) and Destiny's Bridal has the dresses crammed together (kind of ironic since their price point is the most expensive). Stylist Mariee Bridal - 10 (I would give them a 20 if I could!) Destiny's Bridal - 5 Bella Lily's Bridal - 10 While I gave Bella Lily's a 10 here as well, Mariee is a 20. They pay attention to EVERYTHING you like and don't like about each dress. It's hard to describe since I thought I knew what dress I wanted. Overall, I went with the shape and overall vibe I came in thinking, but the dress I ended up with was a dress that my Mariee stylist picked. I also loved that she waited until near the end of my appointment to have me try it on the dress she thought I'd like best. It made the appointment since myself and my crew had our jaws on the floor after trying it on. Mariee, you're in a league of your own. You're so helpful and supportive (like a fairy godmother for wedding dresses!). Not to mention they also picked my veil and wedding jewelry! They just know what looks good on every bride to enhance your natural beauty! Price Mariee Bridal - 10 Destiny's Bridal - 1 Bella Lily Bridal - 10 This is a hard one to answer since everyone's price point is different. What I will say is Mariee and Bella Lily Bridal were upfront when I asked what range they provided. I appreciated that they shared this upfront before I made my appointment. The range they said was consistent with my experience. They'll not only provide a range of dresses they carry, but they'll also give you a sense of how many dresses you'll have access to (~ what percentage of their dresses fall within your budget). BEWARE if budget is factor. Destiny's Bridal had me try on dresses that were 2-3x my budget without even telling me. I honestly don't even know how that's allowed. What disappointed me more was I called each salon to ask this question in advance and they reassured me that my budget would fit well with the dresses they carried. Overall Experience Mariee Bridal - 10 Destiny's Bridal - 5 Bella Lily Bridal - 8 Mariee is THE BEST! They provide you and your shopping crew with a VERY large room (if I had to guess, it's 500 sq ft just to yourselves). It's so spacious and comfortable, and the lighting/mirror situation is great as well. Their salon is stunning. As a comparison, Destiny's Bridal isn't private at all and their salon is crammed/not pretty (based on the price point of dresses they carry, I was shocked when we arrived at their salon). I definitely was influenced by other reviews that suggested their salon was nicer than it is. Don't get me wrong, if you like the certain designers, they do carry nice designers, but the actual salon doesn't compare to Mariee or even Bella Lily. I will give Bella Lily credit here. While they're located in Glendale, they're worth a visit. Their salon is gorgeous as well, and the process is super fun since they're the only one on this list that provides sparkling wine (and they provide fun yay or nay signs for your guests). To sum up, I don't regret making appointments at any of the places I did because I was interested in designers at Destiny's Bridal. With that being said, if I was a bride doing it all over again, I would only make an appointment at Mariee and Bella Lily. And I wouldn't be surprised if Mariee is the stand out winner for you as well! They're incredible!!!

First of all, I was on a very tight time line because we decided to elope in weeks. I jumped on Etsy and ordered what I thought would be the perfect veil with enough time to receive the item. But, when the veil arrived the shade of rose gold did not match my dress. I quickly notified Monique and asked what I should do. She immediately told me she could help me. She calmly explained she had a new color that might work and she could dye a new veil and add the metallic flakes and get it mailed before my date. The date I notified her was 6 days from my wedding date. She made it happen. The veil arrived the day of the ceremony before noon as promised and was absolutely perfect. I not only highly recommend the product but I recommend the business. Thank you Cleo and Clementine!

But then I found a photo on Pinterest of a bride with an incredibly thin black veil in the sheerest, most delicate tulle I've ever seen, and I adored it. I miraculously tracked it down as having been made by Cleo & Clementine, so I reached out to them and asked them about the possibility of making one for me. I actually assumed it would be way more expensive than it was, but the price (~$300 for cathedral length) was within my range. They worked with me via email to create my custom order, and it finally arrived tonight! My dress is also being custom made, so I don't have it yet, and therefore don't have any way of knowing how the veil with look paired with my dress. I imagine, though, that it will be perfect.
