My daughter has attended the Galileo Skyway campus for several years and next year will be her last year before she heads off to High School. We decided to move our daughter from another charter school to Galileo after receiving feedback and looking into the school. It was important to us that she not attend the local public middle school as our experience with that school and education was awful. Galileo has been an amazing experience and it's worth the drive (roughly 25-20 minutes each way) to have her attend a school that is filled with teachers who are dedicated to their work and the kids. I have experienced the school as a parent, volunteer and a substitute. The teachers are professional and I can tell you from seeing it for myself what they endure as a result of COVIDs social impact on many kids entering a school setting for the first time. The principal is Mrs. Nunez, she is phenomenal. In fact, I had her as a soccer coach in HS and she is still as kind, humble and dedicated all these years later and now as a principal for many years. She is structured, patient, professional and cares about her staff, the kids and the families. She is by far the best communicator I have ever seen. She is very clear in her layout of communication to parents and leaves little room for confusion (which is not easy). Any situations we have experienced at the school have been so minor, even compared to the middle school that is the next street over from my house. My daughter 'wishes' there would be some 'action' to see a fight or have something intense happen they can gossip about. But I love that she only wants that because she has NOT had to experience it at her school. One day she will look back and be so happy she didn't have to experience a lot of the crap that happens in traditional Middle schools. Galileo has a really cool pre-vet program. This is something you generally see in HS, but they have one right there on campus and the middle school kids fully take care of the farm. It's pretty amazing. If you are looking for a school that will not make your child be cookie cutter, that embraces their talents and uniqueness, that encourages them to learn in their own way (as long as they are not disrupting others), that offers out of the box classes and programs for them at a younger age; I highly recommend Galileo School for Gifted Learning! read more

I have 3 children who have all attended Galileo (Riverbend Campus) since kindergarten. Our oldest child was not picked through the initial lottery, and we were #10 on the waitlist for the 2019-2020 school year. We received a call about a week before her Kindergarten year began and were offered a spot. We are SO THANKFUL that we got in! Our experience with Galileo was fantastic from the start. What sets Galileo apart from public school is that I feel like my children's education has been adjusted to fit their exact levels. There have been times that my children have been a little behind their peers and received additional practice on things, and times that my children have been moved up to higher levels of learning than their grade level. This has always kept them engaged with the learning process - not too hard and not too easy! I have a high-achieving student and a student who really works hard to keep up, and they always feel comfortable with the workload. This school puts a heavy emphasis on communication. I always feel like I have a clear line of communication from my children's teachers, as well as a school-wide newsletter that is sent weekly. There are so many reminders and calendars that it doesn't take much digging to find what you are looking for! Any time that I have reached out to the school administration or front office with requests I have also received quick responses. They are very professional, yet also very caring! It amazes me that almost every adult in that school knows my children by name. I am so impressed that the teachers, coaches, and administrators really get to know each child. I swear by the second week of school everyone knows all of the kindergarteners already! OH! And the carline is amazing!! It's about as quick as the Chic-fil-A drive thru and makes pick-up and drop-off super quick and painless! Overall, I am very happy with our choice to attend this school. My only compliant is that they do not yet have a high school option available! We would LOVE to be able to attend through high school instead of just through 8th grade. read more

We're so grateful our son attends Galileo, and we're thrilled with our experience so far! All of his teachers have been tremendously caring and attentive. The teachers differentiate instruction to meet the unique needs of students, in the form of both additional and additional challenge/acceleration. Learning is often hands-on, small group, creative, and project-based, which our son loves. Galileo Riverbend is a wonderful community, and the school feels as if it's a family to which our son (and we) belong. There are many family-inclusive events on campus throughout the year, and community service opportunities allow us to give back to the school and show our appreciation. Most importantly, Galileo prioritizes teaching good character and kindness. It is important that my son learns to be a good person as he grows academically, and I'm so incredibly thankful that his school is helping we parents raise good, kind, people. read more

Both my children have attended Galileo Skyway campus since their doors opened. The principal (Ms Nunez) is a thoughtful and dedicated leader who cares about the staff, the kids and their families. The education, care, competence and compassion my children received from their teachers and staff gave them the ability to overcome various obstacles in their educational lives and learn from the experience. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our kid's education. We've noticed that this school fosters their imagination with project-based learning, while other schools seem to have put that aside. Also, the PEAKS and pre-VET programs set the Middle school apart from other schools. It is such a relief in this crazy world to know that our son and daughter are safe and extremely happy in this remarkable institution and are eager to return to school after holidays and breaks. read more

I can't say enough about Galileo School. They are incredible! My daughter has been attending for 2 years and loves going to school each day. The teachers and staff are friendly and seem to really enjoy teaching our children. Combined with their knowledge, the understand that every child learns differently and go out of their way to make sure all the students are understanding the material in fun ways! My two boys have been going to Galileo since kindergarten and they are now in grades 7 and 4. I love the way this school is like a family. Every morning when my boys get dropped off in carline I hear the faculty greet them by name and wish them good morning. My kids have done great, thrived, learned a lot and love going to school. As a parent I feel kept in the loop with the weekly newsletters and emails. Any time I send an email to any faculty member I have a response quickly. All my four girls grew up in Galileo River-bend from Kindergarten through middle school, and we're having a great experience. Galileo Skyway has been such a wonderful experience for my boys. They provide a fun and safe learning environment for the kids. They offer a large variety of elective and creative process classes to teach the kids about every day life. (Home Ec, Agriculture, etc) I would recommended this school for everyone. read more

Do not send your kids to this school. I was bullied and the school overlooked it multiple times. There is NO homework and they only had a few good teachers who left. Like Mrs. Dulong and Mrs. Speraw. Other than that, this really is a 0-star rating. read more
