Depends who you get for service! I had a young man who didn't give me my full order, then when I asked for my rice charged me $4 for it and told me my meal didn't come with it. Next time had a younger lady, verified the menu and she said of course it comes with rice shows it right there.... Food taste good for "Mexican" in PA. Prices are okay. Parking is okay, has a lot on the side. Seating is good, booths. Chips and salsa are good, and comes with the table. Low rating but would eat again. Not my first pick though. We have been eating here for years. Not the best of you have celiac disease (for gluten cross-contamination), but they certainly have tasty food. Low-cost as well! The complimentary tortilla chips were freshly fried - I noticed they were warm when we got a refill. We came here after a hike behind the hospital so this is the best lunch spot that's only 5 min away. We were hungry and the food came out quickly. Ordered an order of carne asada tacos with avacado, crema, and queso. The steak was well seasoned and well prepared. Very juicy and full of flavor. The corn tortilla was well prepared and did not fall apart. All the ingredients were fresh and complimented the dish well. The waitress was quite friendly when I struck up a conversation with her. I did not dine in the restaurant however, the dining area looks very clean and has a warm atmosphere. The waitress informed me that Galera Dos has been in buisness for over eight years and that she has been working there for about a year. Being from Colorado I am always on a quest to find delicious Mexican food that reminds me of home. This place comes so close. I had the chili poblano dinner combo which included 2 chili poblanos, refried beans and rice for $11. I substituted the ranchero sauce (I am not a fan of ranchero) for their mole which is fantastic -- richly textured with depth and just a touch of heat. You ain't getting better Mexican in Danville, PA... the bar is so low for that it's almost an insult but that's not at all how it was at all intended, unless you're a huge taco bell fan. I've had Mexican food from the Southeast up to the Northwest USA and I've gotta say this places holds its own! Fish tacos are good, the burritos are good, the appetizers are pretty good, the fajitas are good, and the staff are always nice. I can't believe I found myself back here but I am genuinely happy I did. Believe me when I say my initial experience here was terrible. There must of been a change in staff, recipes, something. The food isn't just passable. It is very good! Our server seemed to understand Laura's nut allergy well and let us know there really wasn't anything of that nature served out of their kitchen. That is very reassuring. Obviously I was prepared for the worst while we ordered and I sipped on my soda tentatively as the food was made. It wasn't a long wait at all and our food was served. The fajitas looked and smelled amazing. The dark browning on of side of the peppers, onions, and shrimp added so much flavor and combined with the beans, rice, guac, and sour cream they made incredible fajitas. Everything here is different. The cheese was cotija from what I could tell, the guac was fresh, the shrimp cooked very well, everything spiced just right. Immense improvement. The burrito was also very good and the vegetables in it had the same charred sides. I wouldn't say this is my favorite burrito and kind of fell apart due to the sauce it was smothered in but outside of that it really was good. Service was understanding and fast, food was very good, and I have been proven wrong. I am okay with that. In fact I am quite happy to admit it. Took my mom here for lunch after she did so well with me going to the Dr's in Geisinger in Danville. This place is right down street. Food was excellent. Seasoned great and flavorful. They need help here though. There was one waitress doing everything from waiting tables, to take-out, and bussing her own tables. She was extremely pleasant fir the pressure she was under and acknowledged every person with a nice sweet tone. She wore a mask, but you could still see the smile in her eyes. There were customers coming in to pick up a take out order, as dine in customes followed. I was so impressed this waitressand how she didn'tmiss a beat doingher job. I used the ladies room. This place is so put together. Great decorated atmosphere and great prices for lunch. Dinner is a little more extravagant as you can see on the menu and the entrees are priced accordingly. I heard it's the only Mexican restaurant within miles that serves authentic food. And it was rightfully so! The variety of dishes surprised me. They had everything from quesadilla to taco salads. I got the Chile Colorado. The name sounds like a fusion, but it was rice, beans, and chunks of beef marinated in spicy, delicious sauce. It's the first place to eat from leaving the hospital. We were craving some Mexican food so figured we would give it a shot. I have to admit it's probably the best Mexican I have had since I was in El Paso. It might have been since I haven't had it in so long and was craving it. Or it was just that good. Yum. Went here for a date night with my husband and everything was delicious. We had a cheese sauce and sausage dip for an appetizer, while it sounds odd it was spot on. The soft tortilla and the seasoning of the sausage made for a combo I could not get enough of. For an a entree I had the two tacos(shrimp) meal. It was huge. The tacos were stuffed to the max and the platw was over glowing with rice and toppings for the tacos. Cooked well and seasoned well. I was so full had to take one taco home. read more

The music in here is pretty strange I will say that but that's really the only negative. A little pricey for me but the food was delicious. I don't remember what I ordered lol but it was 3 kinds of meat. The chicken, pork and steak on a skillet with onions and peppers and that came with bean sauce, rice, guacamole, sour cream and salsa. Also 3 small tortillas. I wish there were 6 bc they were too small. Good flavors, but not necessarily authentic. Got the lunch vegetarian special and the portions were amazing. Rice was cooked well which is hard to find in other places. The spinach quesadillas were alright. Liked the chocolate fried cheesecake (Xango). Flan tasted good but not as creamy as I've had in other places.
