When our son was born last year my wife and I decided that we didn't want to vaccinate him for a while and when we did we wanted to do it in small increments to allow his body to take to them better. Peerless wouldn't see him so we had to find another office that would and that's when we found Ocoee Pediatrics. They were very receptive to our needs and to our desires and supported us 100%. Every time we go we feel like we have just arrived at a friend's house. They somehow know our names when we walk in and always answer our questions. If you are trying to decide where to take your child give them a chance, I think you'll be happy.

This was his first blood draw and cup pee ever. The nurse was so patient when my 11 year old was crying and freaking out in fear before the blood draw. Then when Dr. Sanabria told us he was due for two more vaccines (tetanus and meningitis which I am definitely on board with and feel are important vaccines) he freaked out again and sat in the corner on the floor refusing to get them. Dr. Sanabria took the time to explain to him why each vaccine was important and did not rush him but was very supportive in helping me calm my son down and get him to agree to the shots. Only nurse practitioners were available. When calling to schedule appointments, the person answering the phone was always rude. We received NO advice as to newborn/infant nutrition , sleeping, crawling, walking, etc...And, they failed to schedule his 9 month appointment, then blamed it on us, saying that we must have failed to "read the newborn packet". We switched pediatricians!! Absolutely the worst experience. I do not wish this experience on anyone.

The staff is always treated us very kindly and the receptionist always have a smile on their face. They have extended hours on the weekends even though they are not open 24 hours a day. I am happy to say that from the moment we walked in the office, we were pleased. The receptionist and nurses were very nice. Our wait was only a few minutes before we were called back and put in a room. Personally, I was a little guarded after reading a few reviews and really unsure what to expect. I am happy to say that Dr. Wessels is so funny and laid back. I could tell within a few minutes that my daughter made the right decision coming to her. She was very compassionate, and we could tell she loves her patients! She was very loving and caring with my daughter and grandson. She took time with us and we felt so comfortable with her. She was even singing to my grandson. It was precious, and funny. The procedure only took a few minutes and the baby didn't cry but a minute, if that. During the procedure, Abri (NP), explained aftercare. Dr. Wessels and Abri helped my daughter make sure the baby was latching properly and they were WONDERFUL! I can only assume it is because we asked to delay a vaccine as our son was sick the day we went in. I was told it was no problem. We were never told that would end in a dismissal if we did not vaccinate that day. We have no issue with their policy that all children must be vaccinated. Furthermore, we had an issue with the the finance department which was sorted out and any balance paid in full the next day. We have no problem paying our dues! I am disappointed in this establishment due to the lack of communication which is unprofessional, reflecting poorly on this so called Christian "owner" if I am correct regarding who that is. Regardless of who owns this clinic and made their decision- very unprofessional. My son needs his next vaccine and now we are left to scramble and find someone to give his next vaccine ASAP. The email they sent was signed allied pediatrics. me on the phone of Trying to "MAKE" her accuse another practitioner unaffiliated to your organization of "making a mistake" aka malpractice, where I clearly said I just wanted to understand the issue my son was having as I was worried- I'm disappointed in this Christian who does not actually take the time to try and resolve any "issues" (if there was one) sending out dismissal letters, causing there to now be a delay in my son's care. Shameful demeanor and actions. We should have been spoken to in person who given more time/allowed to atleast vaccinate our child instead of cancelling and dismissing "immediately" as if we were causing some sort of harm or a threat to someone. This practice has a 4/5 star rating. I'm sure it will continue to decrease as information such as this spreads word of mouth.
