When I called the receptionist was super friendly and helpful. She was able to find me an appointment right away. When I got to the Hospital I found a lovely and very clean lobby. The staff were all very welcoming and very attentive to the animals. I felt like they all wanted to be there because they cared about animals. It wasn't just a job for them. Dr Snyder was wonderful. He immediately introduced himself to my dog and made her feel comfortable. He gave her a very thorough exam and addressed all of my concerns even though he squeezed me in for this appointment. I am so impressed with the experience that I had that I am changing my dog's care to Sepulveda Animal Hospital.

On the other hand, they've decided to take away basic services and for the ones that remain, they've decided to charge OUTLANDISH prices that are absurdly nonsensical. My pet has asthma. Needs an inhaler which I pay for out of pocket and its incredibly expensive. This veterinarian clinic DOES NOT SEND PRESCRIPTIONS TO OUTSIDE PHARMACIES. So they only give you 2 refills and when you need more you have to physically drive into the office, pick it up on paper, then physically drive it to your pharmacy to get it filled. In the day and age where almost everything is available in minutes via apps and the internet, this clinic decided to make the client do a ton of unnecessary physical effort and time investment when it could be submitted via fax or even just approved over the phone. Their other option is pay 40% more foe the same rx through their own pharmacy. So they squeeze you for a ton of money or force you into a half day of nonsense driving everywhere and waiting around in person to avoid losing an arm. I wish VCs would stay out of medicine. This sucks.

I made my appointment online and it was simple to do! The location is easy to find with available parking. You walk in and the location is definitely modern. They had (2) waiting areas and they were nice setups. The place was not crowded with dogs either. I walked in, gave my pup and my name and was asked to have a seat. I showed up right at my appointment time. I think I waited maybe 5-ish minutes and the tech came out and brought us to the exam room. The room was nice & clean. We spoke to the tech for a bit (she was great!) and she went to grab the Dr. The Dr. was also great. She asked and answered all of my questions. My biggest thing is that she got down on the ground and check my big puppy out. Once complete, she made a medical suggestion and was clear on what the issue could be and the reason. After the Dr. left, the tech (who stayed the whole time - which I also liked) spoke about the packages they had and provided the cost for the medication on a pad. She didn't need to leave and come back a bunch of times. The tech was also knowledgeable about what my concerns were. I chose my package and approved the medication. We stepped out, grabbed a complimentary latte in the fridge and the Tech was back out with her medication and directions, in no time. She gave us the option to pay with the card that was on file (from when I made the appointment) and we were off. I was missing some shot records, which I can bring back at another time. 5-stars!

I primarily go to Modern Animal for routine care and minor concerns. The space is clean and organized. The waiting area is small, but there are two sides so it is possible to keep distance between us and other pets. Our wait time is usually pretty minimal. Tech appointments tend to be very fast. The nurses and vets always ask if they can give my dog treats to make him feel more comfortable, and with my permission they will do so. I really like this about them - I think it really helps my dog feel more comfortable there. They communicate clearly and answer all the questions I come in with. I like the team at this location. They are kind and knowledgeable. I try to see the same doctors if available. It's not as personal as going to 1 specific veterinarian, but it works. Modern Animal as a service overall works really well for me. I like the app, the ease of making appointments and the chat communication. I feel like the membership fee ends up paying for itself if we go in 2-3 times in a year - it also allows us to go in as needed without the stress of additional exam fees. I also like the documentation and the access we have to all of it. The individual services/treatments, which are separate costs from the membership, are more expensive than what I've seen at other places. However, it has been worth the cost for me.

I did not know it was a chain, but it is. This one is in Playa Vista and really nice. The staff was great. They were ready for us within minutes of us getting there. Mack, however, enjoyed none of it. He had to have his Du nails clipped and he just refused. They got one and he will go back and I will get him so stoned first, he won't be a bother. The ear infection was found and he has meds for that which are working. His itchy skin is being dealt with, unlike Paws and Palms which just took a guess. He now has the right cream. And sure enough my boy is overweight, so I have him on a strict diet and he would like to give me 0 stars for his feeding. He is a pocket pity, bull dog mix with the short snout and you just can't let them get fat. Modern Medicine seems to know what they are doing and we go back in a couple of weeks, with a high dog in tow. We really loved the staff and the place is spotless. Mack refused to have his photo taken.

The first phone call I had with the Dr put me at ease because he was so calm, and reassuring and more than anything, not pushy. He's no salesman! If anything he will hold back until you are truly ready to put your animal to sleep. I called him at least 4 times- and cancelled 4 times. TRUTH! Eventually, he did come over and explained the process to me and was very gentle with my dog. That was less than 3 years ago. Two months ago, it was time for my other dog to make the transition. I kid you not, I called him 3 times, and changed my mind 3 times. But, when I truly knew it was time, Dr. Rosnick made himself available and I might add on VERY SHORT NOTICE. LISTEN UP- Dr. Rosnick made it clear that in the long run it's better to let your animal go a few days early than a few days, weeks late! At the time, this didn't make much sense to me because I wanted my dog in my arms as long as possible, but I vowed to NEVER let her suffer- and because of Dr. Rosnick I didn't. He came over around 9:30 or 10:00pm. I don't know exactly what his hours are- but he felt it was important to get to me that night because I would have waited until the next day. (that would have been miserable for my dog and myself) I'm a wreck over the loss of my second dog and now I'm dogless. I already paid once for an after visit follow through for information. She should've followed through naturally on her own with. It's very disheartening to attempt to be reprimanded by your vet because of their unprofessionalism and lack of follow through and for me to be pointed out as difficult. All dialogue post initial visit should have been included in the initial visit or she should've stayed to follow through during that time. By no fault of my own, I continued to follow instructions and continue to believe and take her for her word. She talks over you and doesn't let you finish. She doesn't hear what you're saying or whatever you're saying she hears it incorrectly and lashes out at you. Very disappointed. I was very hopeful and very happy at one point. There are many other mobile vets in Los Angeles. Keep looking elsewhere. I'm a very compassionate, patient and kind and absolutely generous client. It's spotless, the receptionists are lovely, and there are so many thoughtful touches. From seeing your dog's name written on the welcome board when you walk in, to the treats, coffee, tea, and water. It all makes you feel so welcome. I was worried about carrying or moving my little 90 lb. guy by myself, so i wanted to find a clinic in my area and stumbled upon this mobile service that had an urgent care opening within a couple of hours. Dr. Kent arrived at our apartment with 2 nurses and at first my pup was not happy to be touched near his wound. We were given some meds for anxiety and told us they would be back in an hour. When the team returned, they returned with a clear, efficient plan: within a minute of their arrival, they had Eli on his side and got to work. He was inspected, operated on, and bandaged without a peep from my pup. I was left with meds, instructions for care, and a smiling pup. Their attention, care and efficiency was apparent and appreciated. I have had issues with some vets because of my pup's size, with some suggesting that he be put to sleep before they would see him, which is not a stress i would want to put him through. I would not hesitate to call them again, even for regular checkups.

I was extremely concerned. Dr. Kent told me this was completely normal and not to worry. Since then, I have learned more about topical flea medications, including the importance of applying them in a location where a cat cannot lick or ingest the product. Looking back, I am deeply disturbed by this experience. Based on what I observed and what I have since learned, I no longer have confidence in Dr. Kent's care. I cannot recommend Dr. Kent and would not trust her with my pets. I encourage other pet owners to carefully consider their options when choosing veterinary care.
