They did appts on line, it was clean, they were nice and actually acted like they wanted to earn my business. I recently moved to Bloomington and was in search of a new nail salon. After looking at a few options online, I went with Galaxy Nails, and I'm SO glad I did! Khanh and her staff are amazing and are always so friendly! They are very personal, welcoming and they do great work. My nails are super difficult to work with, acrylics are always lifting and it's always been a struggle to find someone who knows what they're doing. Khanh has continuously done a great job and I've been so impressed. Doing great work is one thing, but being so friendly and welcoming puts the icing on top of the cake. Checked this place out because of the great reviews& was not disappointed. All the nail techs were super friendly and offered me a water when I walked in. I had chipped one of my no chip nails( I'm pretty rough on my nails) & they fixed it no problem and touched up all my other nails as well. Definitely recommend this salon! read more

I recently moved to the Bloomington area, which prompted my search for a new nail salon. I've been going to the same Salon and Nail Tech for over 5 years, so finding the right salon and Nail Tech was a big deal. I searched nail salon reviews online and found two viable options, one salon was close to my home and Galaxy Nails was little further away. After reading the reviews recent and past reviews it was evident that Galaxy Nails' service is consistent and is the driver of their business. So I reached out via Yelp to schedule an appointment, Khanh and Kevin responded very quickly to my message. I made an appointment to get my nails done the next day. I decided to stop in an hour early to see if I could get a pedicure. Khanh greeted me right away and stated they would be happy to get me in for a pedi within 15 minutes, which they did. Nina took her time and did a great job with the hot stones pedi. Mike completed my manicure, he asked me a few questions to determine my style and preference. Mike did an amazing job with my nails. Mike was quick and efficient. Prior to leaving Mike and Khanh checked on me to see if everything was meeting my expectations. Thank you Yelp for this platform and Galaxy Nails well done. I am VERY hard on my nails - as I am a "hands-on" decorator / painter / Artist. I consider my nails to be my professional "tools" but are also a reflection of me as a professional designer. Over the past 10 years I have been recommended by friends to many nail salons. Sadly, I have not been impressed with the quality / look of my nails UNTIL Khanh took over my hands! She not only listened to my requests but creates a fabulous nail that stands up to the harsh chemicals and workload of my life! I have also treated myself to pedicures at Galaxy Nails and have left feeling totally relaxed and pampered with professional results. I want to start by saying that Galaxy has been my favorite salon for over a year, and I'll absolutely be returning. However, I also feel the need to bring my most recent experience to attention in hopes of improving the experience of others. On Saturday my friend and I went in to get gel manicures. We had booked an appt for 3:45, and waited until almost 4:15 before we were seated. Our manicures took less than 30 min, and I've had quick manicures here before so this alone wasn't bothersome to me. The lady who did my nails, I can't remember her name unfortunately, cut me over four times along my cuticles. I chose Galaxy over and over all this time because they were the first salon I had encountered in town that didn't cut me, so this is really upsetting to me. It was very obvious they were rushed and getting behind in their appointments. I wish that they had just told me when I called to book that Saturday was full. I much would've preferred having to wait a couple of days than to have had such a rough manicure. read more
