After struggling for almost two weeks with out my email account connecting and working, I took my desktop to Galaxy Computers for help. Josh spent three (3) days addressing the issue. He determined that Microsoft was the issue and worked diligently to find a solution. Each time I spoke to him about any progress he was always positive and reinforcing, assuring me an ultimate solution which would work. He had to trace Microsoft's changes through there three different apps for Outlook email. After three arduous days and evenings, Josh found and activated a good working solution. I have used Galaxy Computer 2 times in the last year or so. The last time was just a few weeks ago. The 1st time I explained my problem and was given options to take care of the repairs. Once I made my decision they gave me a price quote and the time it should take. To my surprise they completed the job early at the quoted price. The 2nd time was around the 1st week in February. I went in as a walk in without an appointment and explained my problem and the short amount of time I had to get it taken care of. The owner was there when he wasn't scheduled to be, overheard what I was telling his staff, and he (the owner) stepped up making the repairs himself on the spot. He definitely got me out of a bind. Well, the gentleman working there was very nice. However, I took my computer in because I wanted to wipe it so I could sell it. He told me once I got it back I would have windows 10 and still include word, power point, and excel. When I got the computer back I made the mistake of not turning it on to check if everything was working right. The computer had in fact been wiped, but it still had windows 7 and no word, power point, or excel. Needless to say I was highly disappointed. read more

Galaxy computers are outrageously overprice, but smile and act like they are doing you a favor while charging double what you would pay anywhere else. From the moment you place your computer in their hands they will be charging you a diagnostic fee, $35 for a desktop, and $69 for for a laptop, because that is the value of someone unscrewing the back of your computer and blowing a little air to get rid of the dust. Even if you pinpoint your problem when you first walk in the door, plan of paying that fee. I had a fan replaced, and they charged for two hours of labor, as well as $22 for the part. Galaxy computers is a local business that should be avoided.They are not willing to work with you, are more than happy to take your money. If you decide to get your computer fixed, call around to the different local computer stores and get quotes, this will save you a lot of time, money, and distress. read more
