I have lived at Fossil Ridge Apartments for 5 years and this is how they treat long term residents. Have Galaxy Auto Recovery tow your truck in the middle of the night. No warning, no courtesy note or text or a phone call. Just steal your truck in the middle of the night. Nothing but thieves. Any prospective tenant for Fossil Ridge Apartments BEWARE. The management of this apartment complex will find some way to have your vehicle stolen. My recommendation: find some place to live where the owners of the property to not prey upon its tenants. Elsa, like you I just purchased a replacement vehicle so it had temporary dealer sticker on the back of the license plate. I just received the title two days ago and this morning I was going out to drive to the DMV to get my new license plate so when I returned to the apartment I could update my parking registration, you know, with an ACTUAL LICENSE PLATE NUMBER.... WORST PLACE!! My car got was towed in a public parking garage (was parked for 30 minutes) These people are rude, incompetent and down right stupid. Took me 4 hours to get my car back and they tried to scam me at least 10 times. These guys overcharged the hell out of me. Repossession work doesn't contribute anything positive to society. Unlike careers that build, create, or help others, auto recovery is purely about taking away rather than giving. There's no real skill or creativity involved--just following orders and making life more difficult for people who are already struggling. The work is thankless, often dangerous, and filled with conflict, as repo workers deal with angry or desperate individuals who feel cornered. Jeff, Juan and Aarron are all apart of Galaxy Automotive, yet nobody will step up as the responsible party (or manager) so they all are mentioned. On 3/3 I parked in "Retail Customer Parking" and visited and used the nearby retail shops. While parked in designated spot, my car was towed at 6:30PM. With no reasoning, or signage explaining any sort of specifics. I revisited the site today and photographed the entire area, for any relevant signs about the rules or what makes it permissible to park. I know about House Bill 22: 1314 and the consumer protections for parking. Specifically because I have had issues within the last month for the exact same reason with the same company and another. Although the parking spot was different between the first and second tow, the spots were for the same use. The first time, they released my car for free (after charging the 3 people ahead of me for the same reason) knowing I knew about HB22 1314, with the Towed Vehicle Release form, I brought. I guess they knew I was serious about this illegal "nonconsensual tow". Fastforward to today they have stated lie after lie, and made up things like business parking isn't private parking. I did the same as the last time, I provided the law in paper and my TVR form. But they denied any service to me because it was a "business". This excuse is literal nonsense, and is disproved by the simplest research. However the kept repeating the same excuse and denying me my car. I have since filed a report to the Public Utilities Commission office because if they're willing to illegally tow me twice, then the likelihood of illegally towing a unknowing person is almost guaranteed. This is a predatory business. They are as fake as they come. They will hold your car hostage, because they don't think any one will hold them accountable to the law. So here we are. Making a formal e-paper trail for everyone to know of these illegal and predatory practices, with the hopes that it ends. read more

These scumbags towed my new car from FOSSIL RIDGE APARTMENTS in Windsor at 2 am on a Sunday morning without any warning. The portal to register vehicles at FOSSIL RIDGE APARTMENTS is worthless! I bought my car recently and was unable to get my new tags registered because of a glitch in the system. The apartment complex management uses Galaxy Auto Recovery to tow cars that aren't registered. They gave no communication or warning at all! I went to the parking lot on Sunday evening and my car was gone! I thought it was stolen so I called the police. Found out it was towed by these crooks! I called Galaxy Auto Recovery on Sunday night. They told me I would have to pay $450!!! If I pick it up during business hours it would be $350! So I took an uber to pick my car up on Monday morning. It was a very traumatic situation. The lot was full of rusty, old cars taken apart with wires showing in the interiors and it was a living nightmare to see! The scary dude who took my money looked like a grisly bear from the mountains! I was frightened by him. I am so angry at FOSSIL RIDGE APARTMENTS. I have lived there for 4 years and am a great tenant. They will be losing me! I already started looking for a new apartment. FOSSIL RIDGE is unsafe. Galaxy Auto Recovery is a SCAM! And they work together to scam people out of a lot of money. My lawyer will be investigating!!!!! And so will the Colorado Public Utilities Commission! read more

Lived at Springs at 2534 for 4 years. Had a sticker parking pass on my car. Bought a brand new car with dealership plates and they towed my car for not having the parking pass sticker. I was told, I shouldn't have parked in a resident spot even though I had been a resident for 4 years. If it's after hours you'll have to wait possibly up to an hour or longer to have someone meet you at their lot to get your car out for a extra $ amount verses when they are "open" (while open = 250$ close/after hours = 290$+) The gentleman I spoke with was unprofessional and seemed to talk over me for no reason. when u come to get your car that they take with no warning, you walk up to a lot what is completely locked. you have to call to even be able to talk to someone. then, as they "go find your car" and take your hard earned money, you have to stand on the other side of the locked fence like some criminal. I would give zero stars if possible. They had towed my freshly restored 850 Turbo Wagon without my consent from my apartment complex and the website to register your car for parking is absolutely worthless, and caused a great deal of damage. The drivers side CV axle was spitting grease, the front bumper had already existing damage (lowered car) and received additional damage, the intercooler now has a dent and there's a big scave on the front bumper now. Not only that, but we did not receive a 24 hour notice beforehand and despite it being private property that I LIVE in, that notice is still required according to the Ron Swanson firm here in town and I take pictures of the car daily, there was no notice. This car was all thrown together not even a month ago, thousands of $$$ worth of fresh parts, brand new turbo, motor, suspension, the car was basically perfect before they touched it. They had also charged us $306 for the tow and to get it out, yet AAA will do it for free and not hurt my car in the process. Keep your cars away from these grubby folks. read more

I happened to walk out at the perfect time and they were about to tow my car even though I have my residential sticker in my window ( and that's all you need) I asked him why he was trying to tow my car because I live here and have the sticker and he said because my license plate was wrong in " his" system and he just kept making up crap because he knew he was in the wrong. They tow cars for no reason just to make money. My bfs car has been towed and it's extremely over priced to get your car out and they add all these extra fees. Everybody that works there is extremely rude and unprofessional. My complex even had to call them and tell them they can't tow cars if their is a sticker on it. Wish this could be a zero. My adult children (visiting from out of state) were driving my car when they went to visit the in-laws in a mobile home park. They parked in the driveway, but apparently the left wheel was out on the asphalt a few inches. The park has a rule about no parking on the street and that you can get towed. Twenty minutes after they got there, my car was towed. They were able to chase down the driver who did pull over and (although he apparently had previously released cars to their owners before getting to the lot) refused to release the vehicle. Told them they could get it in the morning. However, we were headed to the airport at 3 AM, and couldn't wait until then. My daughter was able to get ahold of someone at the office who told her that she would allow the vehicle to be released that night for a payment of $298. When they arrived at the lot (only a few minutes/miles later), the driver told them that it was now going to be $370. There were mileage fees, late night release fees, and a storage fee. He had only taken the vehicle off of his truck a few minutes before! They called the office number again, and the girl there said it was just a "mix-up" with the numbers. It was supposed to $300.70. Ultimately, the car was released, but my family was treated very rudely; the driver tried to cheat them out of money they didn't owe; and then the tow truck driver followed them back to the park and began cruising for his next victim. Unethical. I get it if the owners of the park ask them to come tow someone in particular, but to just have carte blanche permission to drive up and down the streets and make several hundred dollars a night is nothing but a scam. Trust me, the park will be hearing from me, also. Chances are someone at the park gets a kick-back from the tow company. read more

My car broke down on Sunday and i needed a tow service l. I randomly picked Galaxy and boy am I glad I did! Aaron showed up and took a look at my car. He was able to temporarily fix it so I was able to drive home. The most amazing part was he didn't charge me anything. He restored my faith that people can still be SO kind. He saved me!!
