These guys were great. Thought I'd need to schedule the towing of my project car for a specific time, but they were able to respond within an hour to pick it up and deliver to my new house. The driver was even able to help drop the car directly in my new garage which is an alley load and quite icy at the time. He was a surgeon with the truck and ramp. When we were on I25 SB just north of Wellington, CO we heard a loud noise from underneath the car. We pulled off at the next exit and examined the vehicle and the front sway bar had cracked and was starting to hang down. Choice Towing had a truck there working on another vehicle and we went over and talked to the driver. We were given a business card and while the driver worked on the tire change vehicle I contacted Choice dispatch and had everything ready when he was finished he loaded us up and we were on the way to the repair shop with our vehicle. When I called this place, the lady who answered the phone (Amy, I think) was far from friendly and even kinda standoffish. I explained what I was wanting towed, where it was, and where it was going, and I asked for a quote. They said $65 + $3.50/mile, and in retrospect, I should've insisted on a specific quote because what I thought was $3.50 for every mile the vehicle is towed turned out to be $3.50 for every mile starting with where they're located, and since they're in Fort Collins and I was in Loveland, that meant that I got billed $128 (18 miles) vs the $84.25 I was expecting since the vehicle was only being towed 5.5 miles. Once there, the driver says that he won't put the car in the garage that it needed to go into because they've had antennas break off before so his boss wouldn't let him do it any more. So here I am with a 5,000-pound vehicle that can't move on its own, sitting on a driveway with a slight incline, so I can't even put it in neutral and release the brake without it wanting to run away, and the driver (after I offered him $5 extra) couldn't physically push it in either. So he starts knocking on neighbors doors (and mind you, I'm renting this garage space, and I don't know any of these people), and finds a guy that's willing to help push it in. Anyway, in retrospect, I think the only reason I chose these folks is because they have a decent reputation here on Yelp, and what I got was mediocre service at best. And WHY I didn't go through the other tow service I've used before that's actually based in Loveland (Shauns) is beyond me. So when I eventually need to tow the car back to the dealership, that's exactly what I'll be doing, and I don't intend to use Choice Towing again, or at least only as a last resort because I don't like giving my business to companies that don't know how to treat their customers (like trying to at least be pleasant on the phone). We were stranded in our RV in the middle of nowhere southern Wyoming and wanted to make it to Colorado. It was late Saturday night and it was a bit scary being on the edge of the county highway with a family of 5. I called Lori at Choice and they recommended using an company out of WY to get off the road sooner. Lori must have sensed my urgency and frustration as she called me back 15 minutes later and offered to get someone from Choice to pick us up. Their communication was great and Kenny came soon after to tow us to a mechanic in Fort Collins. They were caring, professional and top notch. We crashed in the RV in the mechanic lot that night and Kenny even came by later the next morning to check on us. Cannot recommend Choice Towing enough! read more

Today was the second time I've used Choice Towing and in the future I'll continue to use only them. Each person I've interacted with, Tiffany and Dwight, gave exceptional customer service and made a stressful situation so much easier. Tiffany was very kind and great at communicating, even when I accidentally called her back mistaking her to be someone else! Instead of feeling embarrassed and ridiculous she was able to make me laugh and feel better about the mistake. And Dwight responded both times I needed help and I cannot express how much I appreciate him. The first time, I went to AutoZone wanting to buy and install a new battery and unfortunately the worker dismissed me and pushed for me to send the car to a local shop he knows instead. I declined and decided I'd have to get my car towed home since they wouldn't help me with the battery. Dwight and another gentleman responded, listened to what I said, took a look at my car and told me they agreed with my battery estimation and instead of needing a tow offered to give me a jump instead. I cannot express how grateful I was to not have been dismissed yet again and to actually have someone listen to me and my concerns! And today, the second time Dwight has helped me, he towed my car to the dealership but first took the time to ask what was going on and said he'd handle it and wished me a good day. My Harley Davidson had a water pump failure on a Sunday morning, during the Sturgis rally, so I called Choice Towing and they were on the scene in about a half hour. When we arrived at High Country HD the driver (Rich I believe is his name) noticed I had a nail in my back tire also. The way Rich handled my bike and how he noticed the nail was a reflection on his excellent customer service and temperament. He was very knowledgeable about the bike and took very good care of it. Great company to work with! When I hit a deer this last fall, a week before Thanksgiving on the Interstate they were there in a flash and had my car up and ready to send to the tow yard so it was not in the way of traffic flow. Very professional! I did not get to talk to the tow truck driver since I was with the police, paramedics, and fire men. The actual business where they kept the car had a friendly staff where we they got the car over to a shop very promptly! Explained things to us that we had questions about and didn't make us feel rushed or like we were wasting his time. He double checked his work as he was loading our car. Which made us feel like he respected our property and valued us as customers. As we were driving the deeper potholes he could safely navigate from he did. And when following him, he made sure to be conscience of the fact that we were following and made sure there was safe space for me to turn with him. This is the only towing place we will use and if you get Joe just know it will be done right and with care. Was in a motorcycle accident recently. Called for tow @ 7:02P and was told it would be 90-120 minutes, but dispatcher said she would try to get it done earlier. I went home and waited. I had friends available to help me get bike from street to garage. Called @ 8:30P for status update. No answer. Called again at 9:15P, still no answer. Kept calling until approx. 10:00P when someone finally answered. He told me that the driver was on his way and should be to my home soon. At 10:30P he pulled up. He unloaded the bike into the street, where it had to stay until the next day because all my help had left by 9:30P. The driver then showed me that he had been dispatched @ 9:12P, over two hours after I called to get the tow. He told me that he had been sitting idle for at least 45 minutes and couldn't understand why it took so long to get dispatched. Again, the driver was dispatched over two hours after it was originally supposed to be picked up. I called to talk to the owner about the incident. I was told that they would get back to me. Called again 5 days later. No call back. Another 8 days has gone by and nothing. The driver was great, but the owner does not seem to want to talk to a dissatisfied customer. I was very polite to the person I talked to. Won't be using them again if I can help it. read more

Saw the good reviews so we went with Choice Towing but now I wish we had gone with someone else. The man who towed our car away after the accident said nothing to us about how much it would cost or what the impound rates would be. It happened before a holiday weekend and we weren't able to get it until about a week later. We were surprised to find we owed in excess of $400. When we tried to sign over the title to our car in exchange for the bill they offered us $200 and then we would owe them another $200+. Here's the thing about this towing company that they refused to acknowledge: The thing that's bogus is that the fees are just paper charges that they are racking up on their books with your name on them. You don't have a contract with them or vice versa. You didn't hire them to store your car. The full extent of their leverage with you is to take your car. You're offering to settle with them on that basis, by turning over the title. (I would have done that on the day of the accident if I were even given the option. We weren't even asked where to tow it to. They just took it straight to their lot.) They can't legally ask for more than that. We ended up listing it on craigslist and finding a guy in Denver who was willing to pay the impound and towing fees in exchange for the title. Big headache for us to arrange. But I guess we learned our lesson on what to expect from towing companies in the future. read more

I had high centered my car in the snow on a county road. The front desk guy and both tow truck guys were really friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I worked with them on a Sunday to help get me out and driving again. I waited to get assistance from my insurance company for 7 hours the day prior, it was cold and snowed. I then had to get a ride back to town from a really nice family. I called Choice Towing in the morning, set up a time to meet them at their office, and then rode out with them to get the car. I randomly called Choice and got totally lucky. My truck's drive shaft broke in Ft. Collins and I live in Lafayette, about 50 mi. away. The driver/operator was friendly and professional and the rate was fair I thought, just a little over $200 for 49 miles of flatbed service . I have never even used this company, but had an incident where the driver was trying to unlock my car because they made a mistake on the address!! When I called the company to let them know that there was an error I was met with a very rude receptionist that couldn't even muster up an apology for their error. The fact that they tried to illegally unlock a car without the driver or police consent and then fail to notify me is poor business practice. I will never recommend a company that attempts to open cars without making verification first. read more
