This was the second Sherman's my wife and I visited during the day we came here. Firstly I will say…read morethat Sherman's is a local bookstore worth supporting and you'll experience different vibes and experiences at each one. All of them will offer a great variety of classics and new and popular books available. They also all have a great amount of books that are on sale and you can find some great deals on books. A section worth looking through no matter the location. The best thing about this particular location is the fact they aren't crammed space wise and even if it were busy I wouldn't have felt claustrophobic. That positive does make it a better location than a few of the others. Although I do believe this one kinda falls a little short being uninspired and lacking a great charm to it. The staff we interacted with were friendly but it only occurred when checking out. It's a solid location and worth visiting just not our favorite Sherman's. Like all the other locations they have far more than books and lots of items everyone will like!

Shermans aren't all alike, and that's really refreshing! While the bones of the business are the…read moresame, each spot has their own personality and charm. Personally, I like the way the Falmouth store is laid out more (having so many staff and neighbor recommendations immediately at the front of the store). This Sherman's in Topsham feels like it wants you to do your own exploring; it's cleverly/cheekily organized (make sure to look at the bookshelves titles). We were here for at least an hour just leisurely looking through the bookshelves, before making another lap, and another... I'm sure we could have been here even longer, and no one would have minded. It helps that they have chairs throughout! From what I understand, this Sherman's does an exceptional job with special orders, so if you're looking for something specific, reach out to these folks! The staff seemed *very* selectively friendly (I wasn't on the receiving end of that warmth, but I watched them have welcoming, neighborly banter with other customers [regulars, I'm guessing]). This is one of those places you WANT to sign up for their rewards program: you just need to give them your name and phone number and for every $200 you spent you get $10 a credit!

I dont buy movies, books, music or trading cards anywhere else. The staff is almost always pleasant, and when they're not, they're not rude or disrespectful, they're just kinda content, or monotone. I've never had a bad experience here at Bullmoose. That being said. I wont buy games anywhere but gamestop, that being they know me by name, and have a better rewards program. The one down side to this, I dont like how they cannot give an accurate trade value over the phone.

I would recommend anyone buying online with a credit card to check your bank statements. A woman…read morepurporting to be "Mary" charged my card 4 times for a single box set purchase, and shipped 2 of this item, one that I obviously did not authorize. . It took two weeks and numerous phone that she did not return for her to correct it, and she still would not take responsibility of it or to apologize. Instead, solely for this error that could have been credit card fraud, she denied that it happened and retaliated against me by closing my account. Again, I was not the one committing possible fraud. Snowflake Mary did like hearing of my complaint and their repeated refusal to look into it and respond. I contacted the owner by email about this and he ignored my complaint, which means he approved and condoned of her conduct and the overcharge, If you don't like being overcharged and the hubris of the employee who will not take responsibility, pick another company to buy your music and movies from. This is my favorite Bull Moose location. It feels like you're stepping back into the '90s. Yes,…read moreit's oh-so-small and maybe not the cleanest, but a) their playlist is genuinely amazing and varied (you'll find yourself singing along, thinking to yourself 'I haven't heard this in ages!', or maybe even discreetly pulling up Shazam [...you could just ask, y'know]) b) the vibes feel like an indie record store; you'll feel welcome here, like you could genuinely take your time looking through every vinyl available without being rushed or pressed to purchase something, c) the staff are cool (but not in the "cooler than you" way like at other Bull Mooses), they're helpful, they're patient, and they seem interested in talking music (from current day pop to 1970's soul and jazz to melodic techno).
