Being from California I have been to my share of dispensaries... California is known for its weed, so I come in with my nose in the air (mostly because it smells nice). Let me tell you, I have never been treated with bigger smiles in my life. Most people in dispensaries are happy but, at the end if the day it is a business. They made me feel like I was someone they haven't seen in awhile. I was met with very friendly "HEY!" And just smiles everywhere! It was such a welcoming experience. If I had questions, they had answers. I love going to these pop shops because the people that sell the product are the people that grow the product. They know exactly what in it and don't have to read some paper a corporation gave them. They're not working for a paycheck, they're working because they love what they do, and it showed. I think I spoke to Jordan and he was a nice guy. I told him about my parents and some of the pain they go through and my football college football days... He has suggested some oils that could help. My parents have a stigma against weed, so they were a little more accepting of the oils. Watching my mother walk around with little to no pain in her knees and back was priceless to me, and we didn't have to take her to some expensive doctor who prescribes expensive pills she may get addicted to. Honestly, I couldn't have had a better all around experience. I took some edibles for later and I bounced. I would recommend anyone always buying from a small shop rather than a corporation owned company, but this shop stands out as the best I've been to. THANK YOU JORDAN! read more

This place is amazing. I've been going there for about two years now and I've never once left Green Island unhappy or unsatisfied. I've been smoking marijuana for 30 years give or take. I've been to Amsterdam for 2 weeks and sampled the finest they have to offer. I'll just say this. Green Island knows what's up. I'm mostly into concentrates now and I love Green Islands stuff. Big clear diamonds that are very strong. The limes, lemons, strawberry, and Mumbles are the best tasting dabs anywhere. I've always found the staff to be knowledgeable and very friendly. The owners are top notch. They listen to what people say and put a lot of time and love into the products and it shows. I tell people Jordan is like a weed scientist. I have recommended a few people to go check them out and Green Island quickly turned into their go to spot. It's about an hour away for me and I pass 3 other shops to get to the best place around. Always looking forward to my next visit. read more

There are SO many dispensaries not just in this state but within 30mins of Green Island there's a dozen. The difference with this business is, they care about their patients needs and wants. Eidables in this area are So hit or miss. Acadia Dispensary in Bangor lies about their THC conentent flat out and I suggest never getting eidables from them. The eidbels that Green Island provides are accurately dosed and you are not going to find a better price from their 50mg lollipops to their packaged slushie mix. This store is also extremely clean and sanitary compared to others which is crucial in this day and age. You shouldn't settle for less than that. This isn't high school scoring a eigth out of your friends Buick, you have so many options, this is best option I've found read more

I have been using Green Island Herb for a few years now and couldn't be happier with the various products I have tried. The owner, Jordan, has personally helped me on many occasions, to find what is best tailored to my needs, and the remedy is spot on. The other staff I have dealt with have also been extremely professional and knowledgeable answering all my questions, and providing me with excellent product, consistently. Having had terrible experiences before with other caregivers, I'm so grateful to have found my home shop. read more

Green Island is the best medical cannabis store in the midcoast (and probably the whole of Maine, but I haven't been to all of them). Their staff are so kind and helpful and their products are top rate. I especially appreciate the love and care they put into their flowers. I love knowing I am supporting a small business and that the plants I am smoking are treated with love and care. read more

Solid business with swell service and products. It's a pleasure to visit them. The are a topnotch independent dispensary, locally owned and producing much of what they sell. Their flower is well described and top shelf actual is top. Edibles are deviously delicious, varied, and careful warnings on dosage appear. Masked, gloved, etc. they are doing excellent work for the community. read more

First time shopping at this store; I have to say I am not disappointed so far. I picked up their Blueberry Muffins(IH), Sundae Driver (IH), and all the sauces(IH); all three had excellent taste, a nice burn to them, and were not dried out. Planning on trying their RSO next. They had a nice variety of products, and the service was excellent; very knowledgeable. read more

GIH is absolutely top notch. From their excellent customer service, extremely knowledgeable tenders, their high quality products with a selection you can never go wrong with. I live in a town where there's 5 shops within 3 minutes from me but rather travel the 25 to enjoy some beautiful smoke that they always have. Thanks GIH for everything! read more

Fantastic local dispensary. Helpful staff, great product quality, and did I mention local There are lots of dispensaries available but all too often they're not locally owned and/or their products aren't produced locally.
