Per the weekly menu, it's so hard to decide what to eat. They have a great variety and we were able to substitute sides that can with our entrees. The portion sizes are huge and end up being great for the next day's leftovers. I ordered their Jerk rainbow trout with black eyed pea cauliflower rice and collard greens and my parents ordered the pan seared sea bass with seafood mac and the veggie of the day which was the broccolini. Everything is always fresh as they grow all of the amazing veggies in their garden. Your soul will always be satisfied with the amazing flavors of Underground Kitchen.

Our brunch experience definitely confirmed that, with a tasty twist on Cajun cooking. My husband tried the Earlton Hash. A tasty combination of shrimp, andouille sausage, a creamy hollandaise sauce and done wonderful tiny potatoes all topped with a fried egg. This dish made for a memorable brunch. He topped it off with a bottle of beer to connect the two eating periods. I opted for the French Toast. It was tender and moist. It came with very crispy bacon. The dining room is nicely furnished with stained glass sea life. They also showcase artwork for sale. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. However, the kitchen is a bit slow in service. Side note-the restrooms, while functional, could use work. And for those looking for liquid refreshments there is an attached bar, with seating behind a full wall .

The burger was so small; a "quarter pound burger,"yeah, maybe before it was way over cooked and definitely, severely over priced. Should have just gone to Dick Mondell's on the other side of town and just waited in their line. At least then I wouldn't have left a restaurant still hungry after spending $20 for just me. It would have been $30 if I would have built the burger I really wanted. At least the music was ok.

They really took care of us. My husband got a Caesar salad with blackened chicken and I got the combo plate with gator, frog legs and catfish and it was so amazing. I have to say probably one of my first favorite things were the collard greens with bits of ham in it superduper delicious. They make a great drink. My husband liked their sweet tea, and I had a gin and tonic, which was really full of gin! We had no room for dessert, but the ones that walked past the table looked amazing. I really recommend this restaurant.

The far left is where all the taxidermy and books are but it's also quiet with no music playing during the day. We sat on the right side when you enter and there was music and felt more homey. I do think that made a difference in our experience. We did not have any cell service or WiFi when in the restaurant so look up pics of what you want before you get there. We ordered venison app, catfish dinner, and Gator dinner and shared all the things. I've have plenty of Gator bites in my life and this was by far the best. The venison was surprisingly not as gamey as I was expecting and their dipping sauce for it is fantastic. The catfish was fried and the batter was so light and crunchy. You get 2 huge pieces! The collards were very good! Sometimes they are too bitter or too sweet but theirs are perfectly balanced similar to how I make them. Two times a year they get in Sour Orange Pie from a local and they had it they day we visited. It's similar to key lime pie. It was so unique and delicious. Definitely get it if it's on the menu. We will definitely be back when passing through. It's definitely worth the short drive off of 75. Be sure to visit Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings historical house and pick oranges off the trees.

First thought was they were a bbq joint for whatever reason but no, they do wings and burgers, chix and fish handhelds here. Interesting sides too. And they're decent enough. Burger of the month was delicious and ridiculous. So big I ended up having the rest of it for breakfast yo!! Fish was good. Buffalo chix sammy was good enough. Sides were okay. Onion rangs were good. Slaw was nice; crunchy delicious. Pickle slivers weren't my favorite, sad flaccid ones with too much breading to pickle ratio to be good ...but that's a me thing I guess. Overall, not too bad.
