There's also a Brazilian Ju-Jitsu room and classes along with another room for fitness group classes. Everything is so clean and new, they have disinfectant all around the gym along with towels to clean the equipment you're using, but even then, I see staff members going around wiping down the machines regularly and changing out the towels as well. All the staff are very nice and will usually greet you. I go in the day time so it's fairly empty and I always get to work out on all the equipment I want to use. I believe they have a massage room but I think it's closed due to COVID.

That being said, nothing was like what I expceted. The coach, each one of them, along with every person I have met, and worked out alongside has been nothing but fantastic, nice, polite, warm, friendly, encouraging, and motivating. The atmosphere here is one of hard work, good time, healthy living, and functional fitness. My wife and I have random parts that ache or don't work right, and every coach is god about offering helpful modifications, and never criticizing or making me feel bad for not being able to do something. I love coming here and getting a great workout in, in a short period of time, as well as the joy I've found from seeing new friends and feeling like we're a part of a larger family. We've gone out drinking, BBQ'ing, etc. with some of the people we've met through ACF and I can't believe how much I like them and being a person who does CrossFit! I look forward to a long time of being able to grow stronger here and becoming better at what I do when I'm there.

They have such a great portfolio of classes available to gym members that make my workouts more challenging and fun. I love being part of this gym, and I miss it when I'm not there!

My girlfriend has been a member for years since moving into Paso. Her primary fitness center was in…read moreSLO, when she was employed down there, but due to a change in jobs, her time is now spent in Paso. I've been an on again, off again member since 2021. Working in Oakland and being home just once a month made it difficult for me. Fast forward to 2025 and I retired and added myself, again to her membership. While my fitness goals have changed, I returned to the club and have been using the pool three days a week. With a reconstructed knee and shoulder, this just takes pressure off those joints. I've been happy with my time at the club. It can be daunting to "get in, get out" during the busy periods of the days, when equipment is being used and you are waiting. I've been lucky to get my workouts in quickly in the early afternoon, both in the weight room and in the pool. The one complaint I know my girlfriend carries, is the availability of classes, especially in Paso. Her going to SLO after work made things quick and easy, but the class schedule is hit and miss for her in Paso. She does with there was a bit more consistency. Aside from that I've been happy with the equipment and cleanliness of the facility. The staff has always been attentive and able to answer my questions. I have been at NCP for 7 months now and I have not spent a single day stuck in bed! Almost all of my pain has subsided and I feel strong and clearheaded, something I had not felt in years!! North County Pilates has given me back my body and my life, I have finally found exercise that I both enjoy doing, and can do even on my worst pain day!
