Unfortunately the staff we encountered were quite unpleasant/irritated and the coffee was bitter.

Good for pastry and sandwiches. Easy access on high street. Near Whole Foods. Friendly and helpful staff.

When we want to splash a few more pounds on bread than we normally do, we can get our fresh pumpkin loaf (£2.80) served on the table at 8am! This scrumptious bread is literally covered with whole pumpkin seeds, and it is a combination or rye and sour dough. Love it with cottage cheese in the morning. Another specialty of the shop is their spelt bread, a healthy option for those that suffer wheat sensitivity. It is naturally high in fibre and contains significantly more protein than wheat. The taste? Well, a bit the same as regular wheat but less 'wholesome'? I can't forget to mention their sweet, delightful pastries...my favourite has to be the cherry pocket, even for me the pocket is too big and cannot finish it in one go, but it's o.k I'd rather have too much than too little. Getting the bread from this shop is an experience in itself; grab a basket from the wall, pick and choose what your eyes can covet and what your stomach can handle.

This being typical Chiswick the £4-a-loaf bread shop is bound to put the £3-a-loaf bread shop out of business. An exodus of mummys with expensive pushchairs and nothing else to do but buy ridiculously fancy bread. My advice to Bread Shop... take a leaf our of the Gilette Razor book of thinking and start charging £5-a-loaf. A £5-a-loaf bread shop.... the Chiswick set is wetting itself to get one.
