Came here after hearing how good the croissants were. The bakery is cutely decorated but we decided to take it togo. The plain croissants was nothing special. We have definitely had better. We also got the pistachios and raspberry croissants. I love the raspberry jam but didn't really taste much of the pistachios unless it was the nuts that were on top. Overall the croissants were decent.

Giving a 4 because service is incredibly slow and my glasses were dirty (lipstick residue). We usually get takeout from here, as all of the pastries are delicious. Their flatbreads are great too (we miss the dukkah one). The pistachio raspberry croissant is fantastic.

What a lovely spot for breakfast Chestnut Bakery is! The decor is brilliant and perfect for Instagram photos with lots of plants & flowers around. One of the best things is there are dozens of indoor dining tables available. We were there right after they opened at 7am and they were still trying to prepare everything out of the oven, so we didn't have a chance to see all the pastry options they serve. We had their Almond Croissant, Za'atar & Gruyere Croissant and 2 hot Lattes. The pastries were overall delicious and super fresh since they emphasize that they bake locally in Belgravia. Our favorite was the almond croissant. It's one of the best croissants we have ever had and it looks like a bloom. The savory croissant was also decent but just a little too salty for us. We were so impressed that we can have such a delicious breakfast in London, since all of our friends told us we should lower our expectation when we visit. Hence I can't wait to share this place with them soon.

pistachio chocolate bun was pretty decent because of the crispy top and soft inside, and I liked the smooth pistachio cream x chocolate. the seasonal croissants looked really good but they were quite pricey

Sometimes you wonder about high ratings on some businesses on YELP and others you wonder why they don't have a higher score. I absolutely love this airy, clean well lighted bakery with delightful staff!!! My second time here as it is conveniently situated across from Victoria coach station. I love their freshly baked breads as well as morning rolls, they are all superb!! If you are heading out for the day on a coach, this is a must stop place!!! Forget the rest of the chain coffee shops in the area and head to Chestnut bakery.

What a lovely place! As soon as you enter, the smell will confirm you made the right choice by coming in! I tried cappuccino , and special pastry with custard it was something else! So delicious. Staff was lovely. The space is nice, big, lot of light, and you can see how things are being made. Perfect!

A cute bakery on belgravia, close to eccleston market. There was a wait out the door when we arrived. We decided to dine in and ordered a bagel and a jam donut. In retrospect, we should have ordered one of the hot flatbreads that comes straight from the oven. Both items were ok, nothing to rave about, but on the pricier end. We ordered a latte that never arrived.... So service here isn't the greatest (they might have been busy). If we were to come back, we'll stick with takeaway to grab some fresh bread and coffee.

Had to walk in after passing by as it smelled amazing from the street. I tried the almond croissant and the za'atar and gruyere croissant. Both were so good, I should've ordered seconds.

Had a vegan aubergine and pesto sandwich, sticky bun, and latte. The sandwich was amazing! Forgot to take a picture before the first bite.

Outstanding! Every single pastry we ordered was excellent. I was really saddened to hear that Dominique Ansel Bakery was closed but this place more than made up for it. The honey croissant toast was INSANE. Snickers croissant, vanilla bun, chocolate chip cookie croissant, and cinnamon swirl bun were all top tier. Friendly, quick service and coffee was great. Some of the best pastries I've ever had.

This bakery looks really cool with a lot of interesting options and staff is really friendly and helpful but the the Peanut Butter and Strawberry Pain au Suisse that I had disappointed me a bit. While the pastry/dough itself was amazing with a really good buttery taste, there was pretty much no filling. It had very little peanut butter that I almost didn't even taste and, I presume, just a drop of strawberry marmalade. It wasn't bad, but when you pay £3.50 you would expect a bit more taste from the filling.

    Cake Boy - Cake selection

This is Eric Lanlard's "cake emporium" with an incorporated cookery school. Fitted out to very high…read morespecifications and is certainly a high class joint. Eric can be seen in the shop from time to time! (He was there when I went last weekend and he is exactly as you see him on TV). A bit of a trek to get to Battersea Reach, I must admit. One has to want to go there to go there, if you see what I mean. Visually glorious selection of cakes and some savory options. To be honest, I thought my cake, a pistachio powder dusted fresh cream sponge topped with fresh berries, tasted a bit bland. It was not cheap! Service was a little amateur but genuinely attentive. All in all, a nice place to spend a while away from the madness that is London. Merchandising within the shop is interesting. Apart from cakes, gift and skin care items are on offer. Some even displayed in and amongst the cakes displays? (Saw pots of hand cream placed within the cakes display) Not sure if that struck the right note retail strategy-wise. I would have liked to see more cakes/bakewares first because they really excite my senses coming to a specialist patisserie. The gift items are supplemental and need to be merchandised separately and carefully. Prices for the cookery school are not for the faint hearted!! A half day chocolate course comes in at just under £100 and a full day baking course costs £250. However students get to take the things they make home with them and a lunch is included in the price.

Beautiful Cakes!…read more This is a gourmet bakery. I actually think that the website does not do this business justice. The cakes are truly amazing. We've ordered them for birthdays and anniversaries. The cakes are decorated with fresh fruit and layers of architecturally designed chocolate. My favorite was the white mousse cake. They take special orders - if you need it to be egg free for example. Be sure to ask for the extravagant decoration on the top - because one time we didn't get it. But when we said something they immediately went back in and make the decorations fabulous. Five stars! Excellent quality for the price.

Service is extremely slow here!…read more Came for high tea when we were in London. They do high tea at only two times: 2:30 and 4pm. The high tea area is behind the bakery and it's much quieter and more intimate :) Decor was super cute and fancy; very festive for the holidays. We ordered the standard high tea which came with 5-6 savory bites and 5-6 sweet bites. After getting the tea, service went downhill. Three new parties were seated AND a party of 5 got their food before us (party of 4) along with two other tables who were seated after us. We had to flag the waitress down a few times since it seemed like they had forgotten about us :( Overall, good experience doing high tea in London but can't say I'd come back here for it again.

This is one of those places that definitely lives up to the hype…read more I saw pics online of their watermelon ice cream served in a watermelon (exclusive to their London store) online before we arrived...I knew I wanted to visit when we were in town. We hopped in our car and headed here one rainy afternoon. Street parking was a breeze here (pay by phone). The bakery itself is much more spacious than I anticipated with a beautiful indoor and outdoor seating space. Service was fast and friendly. Order at the counter and either take it to go or grab a seat and they will bring most things to you. If you're ordering bakery items they will give them to you right at the counter. If you're eating in prices are slightly higher (like most places in the UK. My kids all had the watermelon ice cream. We figured they were so big that we would eat the leftovers. That didn't happen. They were so good they devoured them. We also got a couple more things that were amazing! They also have a lunch menu that we did not try. If you're in the area make it a point to come here!!
