So sad not to give this beautiful place a five star! I have…read moregiven it 3 tries hoping for improvement but it seems to have gotten worse each time I have been. It's at the top floor of the La Azotea Building in the middle of Session Rd. The view and ambiance is worth all the flights of stairs (once you reach it). It's a vegetarian restaurant that serves very good food (if they are not out of it). Sit upstairs at your own risk! because you WILL BE FORGOTTEN! 1st time- 3 items on the menu was not available, we had to go downstairs to get the server to order desserts. 2nd time- 4 items on the menu was not available AND THEY WERE ALSO OUT OF THEIR HOT CHOCOLATE (Baterol) that they boast about. Again, had to go downstairs to get the server. 3rd time- ordered the only thing they seemed to have during our first 2 visits, the Caesar Salad. CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY WERE OUT? we proceeded to order what we didn't get to try (cause they were out of it) the last 2 times... they were out! The place was nice, the food was good ( what they had available), the price was decent. Unfortunately, the service was very slow and they are always out of at least 4 items on their menu.

The staff is friendly and answered our many questions regarding the menu. The atmosphere is so creative and fun and, as we waited for our food, we wandered around exploring the art and many gems around the restaurant. The location is right in the middle of Baguio and the view was nice, as well. The menu has quite a variety, portions are good size and the food is SO good! I had the Macli-ing Club Sandwich - cucumber, fried eggs, mixed greens. Very fresh, healthy and tasty. This place was so good, we went back the next week (unfortunately, we were too early and they were not open yet). When in Baguio, make a point to visit Oh My Gulay; you will not be disappointed! Note, that they take cash only.

Not gonna lie I have being to places with worse food before as well, but place where serving staff…read morepretending to not understand with the worse food was my first and fingers crossed my last. It's my day 5 in Philippines and was tired of eating fast food so upon quick google search and on recommendation of a fellow hotel guests we cabbed to this place. I was pretty excited for the food but hey who wouldn't? Within 5 mins the first red flag goes off when we found out that only one chef is Nepali not the owner or anyone else, hmmmm I thought the name is pretentious lie then right? Momos were nowhere close to authentic momos but are dumplings. Hubby ordered butter chicken that had neither butter nor cream just pure canned tomato sauce My mutton thali had the oldest mutton curry that almost gagged me- so stinky and so old you could tell, oh why am I forgetting to mention that food was super cold the third red flag. There is so much I can write about this place which is nothing positive but I guess I'll leave it for others to experience n writing afterwards. Thanks but no thanks I can live without eating my fav cuisine on my holidays.

Other foods have hybrid Tibetan, Indian and Thai origins. Momo--Tibetan style dumplings with Nepalese spices--are one of the most popular foods in Nepal. They were originally filled with buffalo meat but now also with goat or chicken, as well as vegetarian preparations. Special foods such as sel roti and patre are eaten during festivals such as Tihar. Chowmein is another Nepali favorite. It is a Chinese-style stir fried noodles but Nepalis have given it their own twist.

Party of three, the two locals I was with know I'm about supporting local eats, so after a bit of…read morebrainstorming, they suggested this place. DONE! It's a hidden gem - and I mean that literally. If you drive too fast, you will absolutely miss it. It's in a very unassuming location, but I'll say it's a great find! Late lunch, we were seated immediately. I was pleasantly surprised at how big this place is! (Seriously, its outside appearance made me assume it's small - can accommodate up to ten, maybe. But nope - they might be able to fit three times as much.) QR code menus - a first for me in the Philippines - so I thought that was cool. Our hunger helped with decision making. WINTERMELON MILK TEA: Excellent! It's the exact taste I'm used to! (Back story: I ordered this at Chow King onto far from here - it was horrible!) So we're off to a good start! KARE KARENG GULAY: This was to satisfy my curiosity: vegetarian-ish Kare Kare? Yes, please! Veggies were fresh, but it's all about the peanut sauce which was perfect! Side of a sautéed shrimp paste made it even bette. I'd be happy with just this and a bowl of rice. YUM! BUNDLE C: Comes with rice, blanched vegetables and your choice of three main dishes. We went for the liempo, daing na bangus and Buffalo chicken. My eyes popped when it was delivered: holy [bleep!!!], that's a lot of food. I know it says it's for 4-5 people, but this is more for up to 6-8, if portioned right. Liempo was grilled to order (perfect char and seasoning), fish was fried to order (generous with three pieces) as with the wings (perfect amount of sauce - it didn't take away the main essence of the fried chicken.) They timed it all so perfect that when that tray of goodness came out, everything was hot. All of them were YUM!!! We all walked out happy, and on the drive home, that's when I realized they forgot to serve us the balanced veggies. But honestly, we enjoyed what we had that we didn't even miss it. FOOD: 5. Loved everything. SERVICE: 4.75. Would have been perfect if not for the missing balanced vegetables with the bundle, otherwise, staff were friendly and available when needed. The call button on the tables were pretty handy! VALUE: 5. Quantity + quality + bargain pricing = excellent eats! PARKING: a couple of really small spots up front but you're better off parking on the street. Be mindful of blocking local residents' driveways, though. OVERALL: 4.75. Feel like eating just like the locals (with your hands)? They provide gloves. FUN FACT: Their TGIF stands for "Taste Goodness In Food." Clever! There will be a repeat visit on my next visit! I'm gonna bet they'll earn that 5th star then.

If you're on the road up North in Rosario, La Union, and looking to eat somewhere that's not a Chowking/Mang Inasal/local Filipino cuisine, and a place that has a bit more flair, check out S.O.U.L. Café. While on our way to Baguio, we only accidentally stumbled upon this cafe only because we were supposed to eat at the Chowking across it, and it had no available parking spaces. Haha. This place is very easy to miss, so spot the 7-Eleven by the gas station at Rosario. This place has a laid back, bohemian vibe filled with artworks, wall paintings, like a cafe you would usually expect to be beside the beach. But it's not. It's on La Union's main road! They have some good selections on their menu if you're veering away from local, traditional fare. Their dishes are something you would expect to see in a restaurant in trendier places in Makati or BGC, but in reasonable prices. For vegans, get the Hummus Pasta (sans shrimp). It is pretty good, but the hummus-basil ratio is 1:4 which can be a bit disappointing. For a refreshing drink, you have to get their Lemon Green, which is a basil and lemon slushie that's going to make your day. Downside: Service is a bit slow and they're quite understaffed, and the server didn't seem too knowledgeable about their dishes, though.
