Stopped in on a Thursday evening at about 8:30pm for some appetizers. Our group shared oysters, calamari, chicken bites, the pickled beet salad and a couple of the cooked oysters. Gahan House is a beautiful new space in Moncton's historic downtown. It's big and stylish, evoking a classic French Brasserie but with a British pub vibe. I had the Cajun chicken caesar. My companion had a chicken coconut curry. Both were delicious modern pub fare. We didn't partake in libation as it was the middle of the workday (I know, I'm lame) but the bar looked very inviting. Pretty good place to try in Monctan. Wouldn't say the most fantastic but you won't go wrong here as they have a lot of good choices on the menu. I enjoyed a salad and pork tenderloin. Also tried the poutine for an appetizer and it was good. Their own beers mostly brewed from their brewery in PEI are decent, nothing too memorable or growler/can worthy to carry back but good to share a nice meal. read more

Huge miss for the gahun restaurant I was there two days ago and there service was not efficient as well I waited 45 mins for my appetizers and another 50 mins for my food ...and with all that I have a friend that was out and the entire staff was assaulting people outside there own staff party read more

A bit expensive for what what I felt was Pub food. Fish and chips were just ok. Would have been great but fish was slightly undercooked IMO. Fries had a spice added which detracted from what could have been great. Mean come on, were are talking French fries, not Francois pomme de Terre avec Spicer. Wife had salmon and salad which she said was great. Strawberry shortcake was great. Highly recommend that. Service and wait staff were great!! We have been to Gahan in Moncton three times now. Given that it is a relatively new location, we wanted to give it a fair chance. Unfortunately, each visit has been disappointing. While the staff and atmosphere are great, the food is subpar. Portion sizes are reasonable, but the meals are consistently cold, stale, and bland. It is also quite expensive relative to the quality. Would not recommend. This is surprising to us, because we are big fans of the Gahan location in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. read more

Excellent beer (1772). Fish chowder and beet salad were great. Thought the fish chowder was better here than in Charlottetown. Service was excellent, staff were very nice. read more
